Just got back from our interview, waste of time and gas, 2 hr drive each way, 10-15 min interview if that.

He looked at our passports, tOok out my I 94 form, asked me my name and where I live, my parents name, asked my wife how we met, then told us a story about a couple he had a few weeks ago who met and married in 3 days lol.

He didn't look at anything we brought, not a thing, gave me a letter about when I need to re apply in 2 yrs but other then that I could have done it over the phOne :P

Oh ya he did ask the normal have u ever been arrested questions.

I asked him about my ead, he said it was approved on 14th card was finished today, should have it soon.

Good luck to everyone

congrats! il be having my interview alone by next month. wish it should be as smooth as yours. anyways, happy holidays! :)

Sooo I'm officially past my 'timeline dates' on VJ that state when my AP/EAD should have been processed. Still haven't heard a thing about anything. I wouldn't worry so much, except its taking a huge toll on my relationship not being able to make money and not having anything to do each day. Being alone all day while my SO and friends work is making me seriously depressed after 3 months of this, and very homesick too. Not sure what else I can do now but the dreaded 'keep waiting'. Any suggestions?

I can't say I can relate, I can do nothing forever.

Are there any opportunities for volunteer work? Do you have a job lined up or will you be applying after you get the EAD?

I hear ya, keep telling the wife the house won't be half as clean as it is now once I start working. Unfortunately all we can do is wait.

This wait is probably worse for me, some ppl have got their EAD cards within 2 days of being approved, it's been a week so far for me, way worse waitIng knowing it could/should be here any day now.

Hello there Yagisama!

Thank you very much :-) Yes our timelines are very similar indeed, glad to see things are moving along smoothly for you, let's hope for a transfer or interview date for you soon!

I cannot wait to get my EAD approval, not working is killing me! I'd be interested to know however your thoughts on our estimated approval date of early December. Although some people will not have the luxury of waiting until the new year to start their job search i'm interested to know how you will proceed. Will you wait, look for seasonal work until the new year or delve right into looking for work in your particular field? I have just know idea what the job market is like for non-seasonal work at this time of the year.

I hope I am not being too forward, I just like to get stuck into a good conversation! :D

I thought I had replied to this before but it looks like the reply was lost in the ether.

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression. Looks like I want the EAD to be mine mine mine, but it really is for my wife. Having no EAD would be a perfect excuse for me and really, the EAD could take its sweet time.

It looks like your case was transferred to California so congrats on that. Enjoy Christmas with your visiting family and don't fret over the I-485 application.

I am wondering this too. I didn't get a touch or an update after my biometrics like most people do. Wonder if its worth calling and asking about it.
