i see. i ddnt know it can take up to 2yrs to get tha GC. anyhow can i still apply for an AP and EAD separately? we were planning to go back to the Philippines by next year. i will surely be needing that AP. i really think i can have the GC early next year. i feel sad already.

yes you can. Also, I forgot to mention that it costs less to file everything together, but you can file sep as well. good luck!

Hi

We just received word that our case was transferred to the CSC. From all that I hear, I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Colin's biometrics appointment took a long time to be scheduled from when we filed. We ended up having to call and it was scheduled about a month later than most others. I'm seeing a trend with everything in MInnesota.... very, very slow.

He's very anxious to start working but I'm trying to keep him busy at home. Minnesota winters can be very long, lonely and boring when you don't have much going on. It will be so nice to finally start living a normal life.

At this point, I'm thinking it will most likely be June or so before he actually gets his GC. At least he's here and we're finally together. Waiting is so much easier when you can go home to the one you love every night.

Wishing all a quick, smooth process with all of this and Happy Holiday's to everyone.

Lori,

when a case gets transfered to the CSC is always a good thing cause It should speed up the process and very likely you won't have to go through an interview. Looking at your timeline and at your recent transfer I'd say that within the next 1 month and half you should get a decision on your husband application so..don't get discouraged,he won't have to wait that long  Good luck!

wow! I was looking at your timeline and I would think that at this point it was not possible to get the AOS transfered to CSC, I always see people get transfered within their first month or early in the process. That's awesome for you though! That means you probably wont have an interview!! I just got my EAD approved and now I am hoping mine gets transfered too lol

Update on my Case: Last week we received an RFE explaining why my husband was exempt in his 2010 tax, we mailed the request earlier today. Before noon, we got a call from USCIS asking me a free day for my green card interview, so me and my husband told her over the phone that we want to have an interview as soon as possible, so we decided to make it happen on Friday noon Dec 23, 2011 at Kansas City. I think this is a good sign that my papers are moving. She took my husband email number coz she says she will email all the required documents that we need to bring and the complete address of Kansas USCIS office. I just hope everything will be fine..

Last week week my status said ordered card production dec 14th, today it says ordered card production dec 19th???

I got the same text too. The first one on the 14th and another one yesterday. According to what I've seen around here on VJ It seems to be pretty common though

Just got back from our interview, waste of time and gas, 2 hr drive each way, 10-15 min interview if that.

He looked at our passports, tOok out my I 94 form, asked me my name and where I live, my parents name, asked my wife how we met, then told us a story about a couple he had a few weeks ago who met and married in 3 days lol.

He didn't look at anything we brought, not a thing, gave me a letter about when I need to re apply in 2 yrs but other then that I could have done it over the phOne :P

Oh ya he did ask the normal have u ever been arrested questions.

I asked him about my ead
