I'll tell you guys something slightly funny.

A few weeks ago my wife and I took a road trip to Arizona from California.

I didn't want to take any chances so I took a copy of her I-485 NOA just in case seeing as Arizona has some border patrol issues.

So we were driving to Sedona. Then I saw a warning sign momentarily on the road.

It wasn't able to read the sign in its entirety but I made out ....WARNING....ICE....

Immediately I was thinking HOLY ####### what is ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) doing hell. I was about to tell my wife, get the NOA ready !!!!!!

Of course, the warning was regarding ice....ie frozen water.

 My husband is very calm, I'm the one being paranoid all the time.

For the short trip to New Orleans (by plane) I took copies of NOA, biometrics appointment and marriage certificate with me. Nobody cared even a little bit about my status though.

Meanwhile we received a hard copy of the transfer notice - now I know for sure that the case has been transferred to California.

Hello everyone!

I am also an October filer. Received my NOA1 on Oct 7th - completed biometrics on Nov 1st. I have not heard anything regarding my case, no transfer to CSC etc. Called USCIS last week and there are no updates whatsoever on my case. I am coming from a K1 visa - is this normal?

I also did my biometrics over a month ago and haven't heard anything, either by email or post.

Does the EAD usually come before the interview notice or transferal to CSC notice? Or after?

I am dying to work!

Hello October Filers!

Just got an email for my EAD "On December 2nd 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you". I don't know why it took so long to receive the email after approval, I must have got caught up in the USCIS site maintenance that happened this weekend. So happy that being able to work is almost in my grasp! I have yet to receive anything about my AP, although they're meant to come as a combo card...hmm!

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their EAD/AP approval! :D
