The only Apple product I own, or have ever owned, is an iPod I purchased about 5 years ago. I use an Android phone, and Windows/Linux based PCs. I'm not a fanboy, I simply am able to appreciate Jobs' contribution to the industry.

and I didn't discount that....

I simply am stating the finished Apple PC products are rip-offs to the average consumer when they can get the exact same thing (minus Mac OS) for a fraction of the cost. They've been that way for a very long time.

You can't say he made major contributions to the computing world and, in the same breath, bash apple products. The vast majority of his contributions initially took the form of Apple products. You

What about an ultra book with a Sandy Bridge processor and ssd? You can't. Not even for the same price. You really should do a bit of research. You're out of touch with the 2011 lineup.

After spending my upper division forced to use the MAC-OS and the programming platforms designed for it, and suffering through all the inconsistencies of the operating system while debugging programs, I never touched another Apple/Macintosh product since I graduated. Well, I did try Quicktime once and started getting flashbacks right away, so I removed that from my computer. But other than that, I have kept my purity intact.
