Lady's and Gentlemen, I'm a U.S. Citizen.

It didn't go well at first and it was rather stressful because my name change request wasn't done (again). Calls where made and my request was quickly approved by the court right there. I was allowed to attend the ceremony and became a U.S. Citizen. After the ceremony I was asked to go with the IO from the court house to the federal building where my certificate of naturalization was written. I'm very glad this is over. Monday morning I have an appointment at the passport office in DC because I'm leaving this weekend on a trip.

What a ride!

okay, wow... Wishful thinking I guess.... I think we are exempt from biometrics. I just received notification that I am in line for interview scheduling.

Well guys Farid did get his oath ceremony letter but it would be scheduled when we would be in Morocco on vacation. He sent in a letter explaining the dilemma and requested another letter be sent to him after we got back from vacation. We are now in Morocco with family and spending a good time with them. but of course I would get sick again as I did the last time I was in Morocco. Anyway I am taking meds for everything and hopefully will be better soon.

Will let you know again when he gets his letter. Love you guys and wishing you only success.

Updating my status... Hubby passed interview today, had same day oath and is now a naturalized US Citizen :dance: :dance:

First of all congratulations to you

Lastly why did it take that long? Is Baltimore that slow with n400?

I wish I knew why Baltimore took so long... We had three October filers and we all were naturalized in May/June. Our case didn't begin any movement until we contacted our Senator. And it was less than two months from contact with our Senator to his oath ceremony... after 6 months of nothing. I'm just so glad that it's over now :thumbs:

I just hope mine is not the case as I am with Baltimore office as well!:unsure:

Also when you mean senator, are you talking about Mikulski?!
