Finally home. Passed the interview. Everybody was very nice. The only issue was that we had to wait a long time. Interview was at 10am but I didn't actually go in until just before 2pm. And then it became clear that I was not going to make the 3.30pm ceremony so I asked the supervisor to please put me in since I had my 1 year old with me. But I have to say they were very understanding I was the last person to be added to the ceremony and the first to receive the certificate. So I am proud to say that I am now a US citizen.

As for the interview, the person was very nice. She asked me 6 questions and asked me to read and write. She was really nice and personable.

The questions were:

Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Name 3 of the 13 original colonies?

Name two of the political parties?

Which party does the president belong to?

Which state borders Mexico?

I cant remember the last one.

I have to say again that the experience was great except for the waiting part. So, NotBonJovi I suggest going early and be prepared to wait awhile. The seating area is very limited and there are a lot of people. Let me know if you have any questions.

Its a good feeling to finally be done.

I can't wait to know the date of my actual Oath Ceremony. I'm almost there baby wohoo!!!!

Just now received the email. Looks like I went through the process. Next step is the Oath Ceremony. I have to go back to my Dean again and ask for the time off from school to attend the Oath Ceremony.

okay, wow... Wishful thinking I guess.... I think we are exempt from biometrics. I just received notification that I am in line for interview scheduling.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

My interview is at 7:40am, so not sure how early I can go as they may not be open. Thanks for the tip about the long wait. Will carry some energy/granola bars with me. That is, assuming all goes well and I am invited for the oath.

Its good that your interview is so early. You should definitely be fine. But I would bring some snacks and drink just in case :) Good Luck!!!

My interview is at 7:40am, so not sure how early I can go as they may not be open. Thanks for the tip about the long wait. Will carry some energy/granola bars with me. That is, assuming all goes well and I am invited for the oath.

I decided to call USCIS customer service since it's going to be almost 3 months since "Placed in line for interview" and I was told that the Baltimore office is currently processing N400 applications from June 2011, and was also told they are not waiting on anything particular to my application and I was told to make an Infopass if I had any further questions :angry:

That's outrageous! i'm sorry. Hopefully it's not an accurate information and you'll get your IL soon. I can't believe that office is working June cases, It can't be like that. Have you checked the timeline for the past months from Baltimore filers to have a better idea what is the processing time there? Hang in there.

they did not sched me for FP just an update saying I am online for interview, I did call USCIS office and they say I am still within their processing timeline and I just have to be patient and just wait. :whistle:
