Hi,

Sorry you're still waiting. What don't you give them a call? Is it Tampa FL your local office? Because looking at the list it seems like some others from that office already got their interviews scheduled. give them a call to find out what's going on. Good luck.

So, had my interview today, got there like 9am interview was 9:30am. Handed my letter in at window #9 and took a seat with my husband. Sat there chatting and joking around with him. Left my cell in the car so had was to asked the security for the time it was 9:30. I went to the rest room and as I was walking back my husband beckoned to me, they call for you he said. Soon after a gentle man in a blue polo shirt opened the door looked at me and said Sharon? I said yes, when I got to his office he asked if I was nervous and I said no. He asked for my green card, passport and drivers license; he also took my husband's passport made copies and gave them back.Next he asked for my tax returns, looked at those and gave those back. He swore me in and started flipping through my three inches high folder of paper work- never been to an interview before. He crossed out the names of my husband children saying that they are not listen on any other documents, and that they needed only the name of my two children I had with my husband. After that he said OK, let do the hard part of the test first. gave me a paper that read " who elects congress", i replied the people, then he asked me to write my answer on another piece of paper. Now to the questions

1. Who wrote the declaration of independence= Thomas Jefferson.

2.Who is in charge of the executive branch= the president.

3.What political party is he from= democratic.

4.Name 3 of the original states= north Carolina, south Carolina and Georgia .

5.Name the 2 political parties= democratic and republican.

6. Name one state that boders Mexico = New Mexico

He then said OK you pass, so we have a swearing in on Friday you coming, speaking as if we were in the lunch room chatting over coffee. I answered yes as if we were really having coffee in the lunch room... lol. He was cool, spoke calmly explained stuff he was doing like "if you see me looking at the computer while I talk to you it's not a TV" made me laugh.

After Friday i'm done... well no.. not quite..on to filing for my parents..good luck y'all

Congratulations! I am sure it must feel great when everything is over. My interview is on Thursday; I started biting my nails already :unsure:

So, had my interview today, got there like 9am interview was 9:30am. Handed my letter in at window #9 and took a seat with my husband. Sat there chatting and joking around with him. Left my cell in the car so had was to asked the security for the time it was 9:30. I went to the rest room and as I was walking back my husband beckoned to me, they call for you he said. Soon after a gentle man in a blue polo shirt opened the door looked at me and said Sharon? I said yes, when I got to his office he asked if I was nervous and I said no. He asked for my green card, passport and drivers license; he also took my husband's passport made copies and gave them back.Next he asked for my tax returns, looked at those and gave those back. He swore me in and started flipping through my three inches high folder of paper work- never been to an interview before. He crossed out the names of my husband children saying that they are not listen on any other documents, and that they needed only the name of my two children I had with my husband. After that he said OK, let do the hard part of the test first. gave me a paper that read " who elects congress", i replied the people, then he asked me to write my answer on another piece of paper. Now to the questions

1. Who wrote the declaration of independence= Thomas Jefferson.

2.Who is in charge of the executive branch= the president.

3.What political party is he from= democratic.

4.Name 3 of the original states= north Carolina, south Carolina and Georgia .

5.Name the 2 political parties= democratic and republican.

6. Name one state that boders Mexico = New Mexico

He then said OK you pass, so we have a swearing in on Friday you coming, speaking as if we were in the lunch room chatting over coffee. I answered yes as if we were really having coffee in the lunch room... lol. He was cool, spoke calmly explained stuff he was doing like "if you see me looking at the computer while I talk to you it's not a TV" made me laugh.

After Friday i'm done... well no.. not quite..on to filing for my parents..good luck y'all

I had my interview in Atlanta yesterday (2/6/12). I was scheduled at 10:20am but wasn't called back until after noon. My mom was given the same interview time but we were called separately as expected. My interviewer was not overly friendly but she was definitely did not make me feel uncomfortable or more nervous. When she saw my ancient green card she did quip "you have been here a looooong time!"

She swore me in and then went over my application. I had reported 3 traffic violations and she did not want any documentation - she just noted on my application "traffic citations only" and moved on. I gave her an updated trips list. She did not look inside either of my passports to verify any dates but none of my trips were longer than a couple of weeks anyway. She did ask for my SSN card "if I had it" which I did actually bring along for some reason. She also wanted my green card obviously and my drivers license.

After covering the application questions, she shuffled through a stack of preprinted tests and gave me a question to read. I can't remember exactly what it said but it was about how the government is funded. I had to write the sentence "We pay taxes."

My six civics questions were

1. What year was the Constitution written?

2. How many senators are there?

3. What is freedom of religion?

4. What ocean is on the east coast of the US?

5. When do men register for Selective Service?

6. Name a state bordering Canada.

She then handed me my form saying I had passed the test and to expect an Oath letter. She told me that her supervisor had to check over all applications but that she was recommending me for approval. The whole thing took about 5-7 minutes. Nothing unexpected and I was off to lunch to celebrate.

I was mostly nervous beforehand that she would want some documentation about the traffic citations and was really unsure if I should have mentioned them on the application at all. 2 of the 3 were ~20 years old and getting proof I had paid the tickets would have been interesting.

My mom's interview went similarly straightforward and without any problems. She asked how long until we would hear about the oath and her IO told her it would be about 2 weeks.

Very glad that part is done and all that is left is the oath. My sister had her interview in Jacksonville a couple of weeks earlier and now the whole family is just waiting for the Oath :) It will be strange not to have a green card anymore after 34 years!

I had my interview in Atlanta yesterday (2/6/12). I was scheduled at 10:20am but wasn't called back until after noon. My mom was given the same interview time but we were called separately as expected. My interviewer was not overly friendly but she was definitely did not make me feel uncomfortable or more nervous. When she saw my ancient green card she did quip "you have been here a looooong time!"

She swore me in and then went over my application. I had reported 3 traffic violations and she did not want any documentation - she just noted on my application "traffic citations only" and moved on. I gave her an updated trips list. She did not look inside either of my passports to verify any dates but none of my trips were longer than a couple of weeks anyway. She did ask for my SSN card "if I had it" which I did actually bring along for some reason. She also wanted my green card obviously and my drivers license.

After covering the application questions, she shuffled through a stack of preprinted tests and gave me a question to read. I can't remember exactly what it said but it was about how the government is funded. I had to write the sentence "We pay taxes."

My six civics questions were

1. What year was the Constitution written?

2. How many senators are there?

3. What is freedom of religion?

4. What ocean is on the east coast of the US?

5. When do men register for Selective Service?

6. Name a state bordering Canada.

She then handed me my form saying I had passed the test and to expect an Oath letter. She told me that her supervisor had to check over all applications but that she was recommending me for approval. The whole thing took about 5-7 minutes. Nothing unexpected and I was off to lunch to celebrate.

I was mostly nervous beforehand that she would want some documentation about the traffic citations and was really unsure if I should have mentioned them on the application at all. 2 of the 3 were ~20 years old and getting proof I had paid the tickets would have been interesting.

My mom's interview went similarly straightforward and without any problems. She asked how long until we would hear about the oath and her IO told her it would be about 2 weeks.

Very glad that part is done and all that is left is the oath. My sister had her interview in Jacksonville a couple of weeks earlier and now the whole family is just waiting for the Oath :) It will be strange not to have a green card anymore after 34 years!
