Want to say congratulations to all of you who got their interviews scheduled. I can probably imagine that feeling when it is almost over. I hope i dont have to wait much longer, its been 3 months and ive been told that it takes these days 3-4 from the moment of filing. Lol i think i am missing that mark.

11/01/2011: Status change: Testing and Interviewing

12/08/2011: Yellow Letter received (dated: 12/06/2011)

10/18/11: Delivery confirmed

10/21/11: Check cashed

10/25/11: Got NOA by mail. Priority date 10/18

10/28/11: FP notice received by mail

11/18/11: FP done per schedule

01/03/12: Yellow letter received (dated 12/12/11)

01/06/12: Status changed to Testing and Interview (inline for scheduling)

01/18/12: Status changed to Interview Scheduled

01/21/12: IL Received

I wish it was my time this week. I got screwed because fingerprints weren't accepted, I had to go back last week and I'm now inline for the interview scheduling since January 11.

02/06/12......got INETRVIEW email with appointment letter(have to print that out and bring with me on the interview day)

02/28/12.......INTERVIEW with oath on the same day(as long i pass the test afcorse.)

As for me, I am hoping to receive some update this week. Am still in-line for interview scheduling.

Hey,

Thanks for asking. I was at the USCIS on time. The security people asked me to pull out a calculator from my folder. (Avoid to take with your electronic devices!). The security people gave me number and ask me to sign in where people signs in for fingerprints(I thought what? why?) But I did what I was told to do. The person working at that station told me that I should not be there and took the number and gave hard time to the guards. (ups!)

She told me to put my appt. letter into a box and wait. Two minutes later. An officer called my name and walked me into the restricted area. We went all the way in. His office was the last one. It also was the biggest one and had a great view. I told him "wow I'm lucky I got the interview at the best office" and he said TY I'm the most senior officer in this facility. (He seemed to enjoy the compliment!)

He introduced himself and took an oath. He ask me all questions answered in the form N-400. Asked me where was my husband ( I said he did not come with me bc we did not know if they would allow him to be present during the interview).

He asked, if I have any criminal records or unpaid traffic tickets. (Not at all!)

Then, he did a nice joke about Hispanics (I'm Hispanic!), he asked me 6 questions (the answers where, 1. Star spangled banner, 2. 13 stripes for each original colony,3. Escaping from religious persecution, 4. because no man is above the law, 5. the Vice-President, 6. Virginia).

Then, he asked to read a simple sentence and the ask me to write a sentence very similar to the one I just had read.

He said, Congratulations! I will recommend you for citizenship. He gave me a piece of paper saying the same and told me to wait for a letter with the time and date for the oath. In Jacksonville, FL, Oaths are now given at the USCIS facilities.

He was nice and pleasant. I'm fortunate bc I never had a poor experience with USCIS officials during the whole process!

(Well, I was so scared in my country the day of the K1 visa interview, but they were nice that day too!)
