And so it shall be if He will ... I'm glad I'm not the only one here 'waiting' ... Mine is somewhat easier now, had the actual interview allready, just had to submit one more paper and to the consul 's word 'you should be just fine' ... Meaning hopefully: Approval :)

Hi people, i received my passport today at home today in the evening. It was delivered via courier. I am surprised how fast i got it. Interview on 18th and received passport on 20th. That's pretty cool i think...

Thanks for updating us - yes, it is pretty fast and gives us hope in collecting those at VFS on the next working day (26th holiday).

Thanks for updating us - yes, it is pretty fast and gives us hope in collecting those at VFS on the next working day (26th holiday).

For Bombay the turn around is around 3 days...that is not including the interview day.

A good portion of the times they have it ready for you that day as well...

This might be an 'off kind of question on here' .. Something just blew my mind ...

For us beneficiaries, how do we go about all our legal documents from our homecountry...

Yes, we will receive a GC, but than...at some point in time our international passport from our homecountry will expire .. And if we wonna keep on travelling ...

How do we travel? Or do we apply for a US passport in meanwhile with the GC in hands ... ?

Anyone an idea on this?

Can't apply for U.S. Passport until you become a Citizen of the United States.

Your country has an embassy here in the States. They have services here for you to renew your passport if you need it for further travel destinations.

My Fiance is at the Embassy right now ! The interview is in 30 minutes !!! I am on pins and needles !!!!

I know how you feel! My husband is outside the embassy right now and will be entering in about 30 minutes, interview in an hour!! I'm going crazy!!!! Best of luck to you!! :)
