I am beginning to loose the will to live. Ok i am am the petitioner and filling out my DS230. A few questions on the following questions on the form

Q15.. Mother and Father is that my parents details i am the beneficiary?

Q19.. Children - is that my daughter that is coming as well as my partners child that doesnt live with him?

21a&b .. persons coming to the states with me ... i have a whole lot of questions on this ... we sent my daughters I130 today, so do i put her

details on my ds230 and send off her birth cert, police cert etc and count it as the same application. We put her on the I184 as well

so i am a bit confused wither it will be counted as 2 seperate applications or will she be counted in the I184 & ds230 that i send in??

Therefor, not having to do the procedure twice

I wonder if this will make any sense to anyone. Because i am CONFUSED.COM .... Thank you guys for all your help

I'll wait for someone else to answer this because my knowledge on the "children" aspect is limited.

But your timeline says you already submitted the forms!

First, if you're submitting an I-864, this is a CR1 or IR1 case, not a K3.

You say you are the petitioner filling out YOUR DS230. The DS230 is the foreign spouse's visa application, so it's best to think of it that way.

Parent info is for the foreign beneficiary. Children listed are only the natural or adopted children of the foreigner. You can indicate your child is coming with you now or later, whichever is accurate but no, you don't submit a DS230 or I-864 for anybody until they have their own case number assigned at NVC.

Eventually, there will be two I-864 forms but in section 9, you do not list any family member's names that have their own petition (I-130). They will simply be shown in the household size as a dependent in 21d. For the spouse's I-864, don't count spouse separately in 21c as they are already counted. For the child's I-864 count the spouse in 21c but do not count the child in 21d as they are already counted as the intending immigrant.

You're welcome.

For the readers, this is another example of why you see me constantly harping in threads, asking that you avoid interchanging the terms "application" and "petition". It causes the kind of confusion the OP had.

Anybody can "fill out" any form for anybody but the US Citizen files a petition, then the foreigner applies for a visa. US Citizens NEVER "apply" for anything in a US spouse or fiancee visa process.

My comments were addressed to the many members who are not rookies but continue to interchange terms that don't interchange. I have no idea whether their behavior contributed to your confusion but it has many times to others.
