Mine was filed in Ottawa because my husband is a permanent resident of Canada we were told to do it that way...now I wish I had sent it to the Vermont service center...

I was curious of that as well when I saw your posts in one of the other threads about trying to book an interview. I noticed that you were an CR1/IR1 and was wondering why you were trying to book online. I suppose maybe it is different if you are a DCF? That is the only thing I can see that is different. That really sucks :( I really hope some dates open up for all of you ASAP.

Yeah I have spent the day on the phone trying to find out some information about this, but ofcoarse I have just been sent on a wild goose chase, total waste of time, I really don't understand why it would be so different for me, both are sent to Montreal, I went over all of my paperword that I have received from them and it definately instructs me to book online. Hoping to see some interviews soon! Thank you.

Per the operator today, all November interviews available to IR1/CR1 cases (via NVC) have been booked. Take that with a grain of salt, I suppose.

In Montreal right now. Had my medical on the 17th and the results will be available on Monday at 2:30pm to pick up. My interview is on the 23rd (Wednesday). I took a dry run to the consulate yesterday via metro. I am so glad I did because once I got off the metro I wasn't sure which direction to walk. I guess I didn't take down very good directions LOL, I had to call my fiance and he looked it up for me! The metro really is easy to use and saves alot of time and money! I should be good to go now that I know where everything is. I am nervous but happy to be moving on with everything. Did anyone recently have their interview? Will getting to the consulate at 6:20am be early enough??

I had mine yesterday, I got there at 6:45 and was second in line, most people don't show up until after 7, go grab yourself a coffee or something, cause its bloody cold waiting out there!! And dress for the cold, gloves, hat etc... cause they don't open the doors till 8. Make sure you carry your papers in a folder or something, but not in any sort of bag/briefcase... alot of people got sent away (including me)for having a bag with their paperwork in it, even if thats all thats in it... I was the 2nd person in but 1st interviewed and out... when you get into the elevator go to the back, as it opens at the back, go around the corner ( to the left) and get in line 14B for your number. It was easy once your in there!! Just make sure you have your paperwork in order, they will ask you for each thing individually. Oh by the way, you don't need your X-rays, thats apparently for your medical records once you get to the states.. good luck!!

Awesome.. thanks so much. I think I will leave my hotel at 6 and get the metro and I should be there by 6:20 or so. I have gloves and a scarf but no hat. I have a plastic accordian file with my documents in it(about 2 inches thick). Will that be ok?
