Congrats, I'm wondering about that as well! How did you manage to book that appointment, did you book it yourself using their online CSC system or did they send you a letter with the date? I've been looking for an opening for about 9 weeks now, no luck so far...

The OP is applying for an IR1/CR1 visa which means the consulate assigned their interview. K1s unfortunately have to book their own interviews on the CSC website.

(Reading up on other's experiences, I kind of wish I had gone the IR1/CR1 route instead of K1, especially as I have to wait for my green card and EAD now... Sigh)

Poncheros already answered for me! :)

My interview was booked for me through the consulate as I applied for a CR1 Visa.

I have been following the threads for VJ'ers that need to book interview dates through the website. It's horrible that its taking so long :( I hope all of you can book your interviews soon!

Mine is on 21 Nov. It is one and half months late than we would really have liked. Such is life. At least we have a date to work with now.

Sometimes I think they make you wait on purpose so that you will cherish each other even more after all these ordeal.

This is my third immigration. I swear this will be the last.

I was really surprised that mine was on November 7th. I was expecting early December since I just got CC on September 21st. :)

Hi,

Just got CC today, and we're keeping the fingers crossed for a late November/early December interview date. It'd be wonderful to have him home for Thanksgiving (and my birthday).

So, so grateful we didn't pursue the K visa after seeing everyone have such trouble booking appointments. We just wait for one to be assigned!

Calli - I noticed your case completed the day before mine and you already have an interview date. Hopefully that means good things for me.

Does anyone else notice that electronic processing seems to take less time to get an interview date than having to log in? They should mention that in the paperwork if they don't already.

I received my interview date by email on October 5th. I was shocked that I got it for November 7th. Maybe they had a cancellation or something? According to how interviews at Montreal have been going its usually about 2 months from the date you receive your date.

From the looks of it there haven't been many interviews scheduled in November yet for CR1/IR1, or people just aren't posting in this thread... lol

I hope you get your date soon!!! :)

I'm so confused, I was told to schedule my appointment online by Montreal but my visa class is IR1/CR1... Is this because it was a direct consular filing instead of through NVC?? I wish mine would be scheduled, I have been checking online since August 1st!
