I-864 Can I use my mother's income to sponsor myself

Can I count as my income on the I-864 to sponsor myself my mother's income, she lives in Spain, I seen that the I-864 states that I can use my income if "it will continue from the same source". My mother have a notarized paper saying that she is my sponsor and will continue to support me every month, she have pay stubs showing that she makes around $4500 a month, and a house worth about $350k. She works for the government security department, so she can also get something in writing from them if she requests it, with official stamps etc. So, is there a way to do this? Can I use the fact that she works for the government in my favor to support the validity of my source?

Well I wasn't trying to use her as an sponsor, I wanted to use her to prove that my source of income will continue from the same source.

What is this income? Are you an employee of your mother? Or is she just willing to give you money for a specified period of time? Not likely to be accepted.

No, it has to be your income.

As you are not a regular employee, I very much doubt this money will be counted- this is just an informal family arrangement, even with a notarised letter. If your mother has significant assets, one way to get around this may be for her to transfer a lump sum into your US bank account, as a wedding present.

What your mother gives you are gifts of money. It's not income. It's not taxed. It's not reported. You can't use to show income on the I-864.

It doesn't matter how you characterize the gifts. It's what the US government consider income for the purposes of the I-864.

What exactly do you mean by sponsor yourself?

You're currently here on a Student Visa?

Are you trying to AOS? If so based on what?

Adjusting status (I am assuming based on marriage to a US citizen) is a much different set of circumstances.

Your arrangement with your parent will not be accepted in lieu of your sponsor's and/or joint sponsor's income/assets.
