I've been fairly patient over the last 2 years, but now that the moment of truth is near the anxiety is too much to handle. Have any of you ever seen a denial follow an approved expedite (601/212)? My attorney told me that it's rare, but I have been overly stressed and my coping skills are about shot. (Not to mention what the stress is doing to my physical health.) I am so out of character these last 2 weeks. :( I fought so hard to get this far. I'm really scared.

Well I certainly hope that you get approved. Having said that, the expedite itself refers to the processing time not the adjudication of the packet. The initial decision to expedite was more than likely made by USCIS stateside and the request sent to the overseas location where it is being adjudicated. That means two different people plus the Director that has to sign off on it.

You got this far and its definitely a difficult and stressful process. The most difficult part is the point in time where you know or feel that someone has your fate in their hands and it can go either way and the prospect of denial is looming close. Hang in there, I feel an approval coming on ! :)

BTW have your husband check his email every day, we were not aware we were approved because we didn't check email .. !

Expedite is just moving to the front of the line to GET a decision. It doesn't mean your case will be approved.

Actually, I sent the request to Rome myself via email, and they wrote me back by email in 5 days. That said, does that change anything you just stated? I appreciate your encouraging words more than you know. Thanks.

Thank you. Hmmm, I don't think I'll get an RFE. My packet is OVER prepared. Do you know what the person was denied for, and what the requested expedite was for?

Of course, but realize that something in our case was extraordinary and compelling enough to give it. I am trying to prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

By the way... Rome website says "Ready for Adjudication"

I just got this feeling we'll be denied. Whatever.

Don't feel that way. I sat in our lawyers office screaming at her because I swore we would get denied. She knew I was just worn out and she reassured me while letting me vent. Seriously, less than two weeks later we got a phone call letting us know our 601 and 212 waivers were approved.

Just keep the faith. InshaAllah you will be done with this soon.
