The website below should answer your questions:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html

Basically, your spouse is classified under F2A:

(F2A) Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents

Everyone who gets an I130 approval will obtain a 'Priority Date'.

You may be granted an immigrant visa only once your 'Priority Date' (PD) is current. The same website I highlighted above shows you the current priority dates.

I got my GC based on an F2B which later converted to an F2A. It took close to 10yrs during which I tried applying for the DV unsuccessfully. My GF who is a first time applicant got selected for DV2015! We're keeping our fingers crossed.

I think a wire transfer, i have an account at Bank of China in GZ. I talked to them in Los Angeles and the banking systems are different. You can use your ATM card here in USA no problem and i thought a ATM deposit transfer was less money than other forms, but don't hold me to that.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.
