It isn't a decision they are making. Sometimes people who file earlier get approval later, and it has always happened this way. There were people who filed 3 months after we did that were approved in less than 20 days. There were people who were approved after we were that went to interview weeks ahead of us, because we were in the first group of K1 filers submitted to extra scrutiny on AP.

Perhaps it would help to understand that each case is adjudicated on it's own merit. Petitions are processed to start with in the order they arrive with USCIS, and after that each one goes it's own way. It depends on many factors, who gets through first and who waits. Things like how straightforward a petition is, which center you file with, as sometimes one or the other has a bigger backlog, that sort of thing.

The people who post here, and you see in the monthly filers lists, or on Igors list, are only a small percentage of the petitions they receive to process. It takes time.

You made a great point everyone that has filed for a petition is not on VJ, i think people tend to forget that. My friend filed a petition and she was not on VJ.

Great point!

SO MANY PEOPLE GOT APPROVAL FROM USCIS EVEN THEY FILLED PETITION LATER FROM US.

THIS IS VERY UNFAIR DECISION OF THE USCIS I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY ARE DOING THIS.I THINK WE SHOULD ALL TOGETHER MAKE COMPLAINT TO GOVT ABOUT THIS.

I WANT TO KNOW OTHER'S OPINION IN THIS MATTER SO PLEASE ADD YOUR SUGGESTIONS.

This is the best place to practice the term PATIENCE...Thats all you can do , i know it can be frustrating seeing approvals before you ,but my friend, thats how it has always been. Our time will come, i am in your shoes too....THE WAITING GAME IS STILL ON

I'm a June 10, 2011 NOA1 K-1 filer, at the VSC. Still no NOA2... Doing the waiting game with all of you, at least we know it isn't our individual cases' issue, so we can all be together on this and help each other out with some support. I also called, they said my 5 months of waiting for NOA2 has not passed. Nothing I can do but just to keep checking online and waiting. All in good time friends.

Chin up and stay strong!

Please try to be patient. I know I was not.

But I always try to remember I cannot complain until 5 months passed. Mine came after 3.5 months. It was the hardest wait. I seen others approved who applied after me. But, I remembered a passage from the Bible that states a story that Jesus offered men to come work tomorrow and He will pay them. Some people arrived at 6am and some arrived at 6pm. Jesus paid them all the same. The people who worked since 6am became mad. Jesus said why are you mad....You got what I promised. So, in the end most of us will get what is ours... even if others get a better deal, we knew what we were signing up for.

Good luck

I like this passage.. Keep praying nothing is impossible.

You have to understand how Bureaucrats work. They cherry pick the simplest files first. If they see someone who has a slightly convoluted case, it stays on the pile longer.

We applied at the end of May and had our NOA1 registered and date stamped the 1st June. The waiting is a little annoying, especially when you have children wondering where they will be at school next term (here of there, very unsettling), but I'm sure once the NOA2 arrives it'll soon be a whole lot of 'busy' and I'll have been glad of this time of waiting....perhaps that is a little too hopeful?! Chin up as the other posters say, and I imagine not complaining to the U.S government is possibly the best advice I've read on this particular forum. You're not alone, we're all waiting too. They'll get to each of us soon enough. Does anyone here know if we needed to apply for K2 Visa's for the children at the time of filing the initial petition? The children are listed ON the petition so we're assuming thats enough. Now I'm trawling through websites to double check! Good luck June filers ;)

I really rather doubt this statement. A lot.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Guys,

On rule of thumb, expect it will take 5 months end-to-end from NOA1 to Interview Date. Once you understand this, its a waiting game.

Some NOA2 Approvals are quicker, than, others, but if something is outside your control, don't stress about it.

It tests your patience, but, that's life.

Personally speaking, I think the USCIS does a very good job in vetting the applications, processing applications. You need to realize people throughout the world (other visa types) from all over the world

try to enter USA legally and through illegal documentation, so, I don't mind USCIS taking 5 months time, because it's a huge task to make sure the country doesn't let in crazies, or fraudulent cases.

I wish everyone all the best, and relax.. As long your paperwork is in order, just wait...

I America we queue up. We expect those who went before us to finish before us, and those who follow us to finish after us. Unless everyone ahead of you is finished and those after you are going in drives, just wait. There are plenty of applications sent in, and being noisy about it simply takes time away from processing to go find that you are #364 in line. You may not be going as fast as you like, but you are still in the queue and moving.

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Not to worry, I was getting very stressed out imagining all possible worst case scenarios, and we're june filers with a complicated case of recent divorce and my having children to bring, but we were aroved on the seventh of this month. So relieved! IT WILL HAPPEN. Also check their so called non functional online status checker...it worked for me today and was that which gave me this news. erhas it says 'no case' until there is a case to show? Keep focussed ;)
