Our packet 3 is on the way to the GUZ consulate. I have put the finishing touches on the I-134 packet, and am now collecting more relationship evidence, redacting Skype and Yahoo email logs.

We were involved in some last minute red tape entanglement. It seems that by bilateral treaty, the US and Chinese governments are still playing games with each other. Each country delays the diplomatic packages of the other. Our petition hard-copy is being detained at a bonded customs warehouse in Guangzhou, pending clearance (since 16 April 2012). It seems that the GUZ consulate can choose to work off the electronic file copy of our petition, that was also sent at the same time from the NVC as the hard copy. It seems to be a fairly common practice there due to the clearance delay. I have become good friends with several visa specialists at the DOS. Additionally, the GUZ consulate is a little slow in sending off the packet 3 materials to the beneficiary. But the net result is another delay. Oh well, so it goes. It will work out for the best, she is a teacher and her school year will shortly be coming to an end.

We are "guesstimating" that our medical and interview will be in June. We have a little bet going on about it..... if it's the first half of the month, I owe her a nice dinner in Guangzhou; it it's the last half of the month she buys. Hey, we are trying to interject some levity into this immigration marathon.

Glad to hear that the October 2011 K-1 filers are moving right along on their immigration journeys.

Not yet! I have to have my medical and then send a cover letter saying I'm ready for my interview. So will do next Monday. Usually 3 weeks to a month to interview!

So happy that it's almost done!!

My petition was forwarded to the US Embassy in Amman, Jordan on 4/19. I sent them an email yesterday to see if they received. They advised me that they have the petition and our interview is 5/30. That's less than a month. We haven't received packet 3 or 4. They told me they mailed the instructions to my address in US. I hope we have enough time to get everything done. Congrats to everyone who has been recently approved.

Check out your regional forum to see how long that part of the process take and what is done exactly so you can at least be one step ahead. Best Luck.
