did you all see the info about the fee change for visa appointments? it appears to have gone down from $350 to $240 (starting april 13th). is anyone waiting until after then to pay for their visa appointment?

Sure did. Our case is at NVC awaiting shipment to GUZ, it looks like due to the timing of our events, we will be in the right time frame to take advantage of the fee reductions. For us, it will result in $110 x 2 = $220 savings, visa for fiancee and visa for child. It seems that it came at the right time for us....

How about you?

that's great! i am hoping we are eligible for the lower fee. ours is already at the consulate here, but we haven't paid to make our appointment yet. i'm going to call on monday and find out if we are eligible to wait for the new fee! one more week is definitely worth the $110 for us!

I already paid our fee so looks like $350 for us. And yes, the consulate told us only to have it a day or two before the interview. Ours is out of mexico, and the only places that the consualte accepts the medical from are located right beside the consulate.

I don't believe it!

13 buisness days later and the NVC still do not have our petiton. What on earth are they doing? :(

I'm sorry to hear that. I called the NVC today and they have received our documents and assigned us a case number. We received our NOA2 a week ago, on 4/2/12. I hope your materials arrive soon!

Hi guys i need help:(

3rd week of March I called USCIS and told me to wait for our "Service Request" before April 7. April 5, we received their mail stating that we have to wait at least 60 days for their reply to our RFE. Earlier I called them, and told us to wait 90 days! since we had our service request last mar.30. I don't get it. The moment we call USCIS.. they consider it a service request and move our case longer?... this is driving me insane. It's taking too long.

Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you..
