Hello everybody, i`m back with another question.

My AOS from K1 is pending at CSC. (NOA1- june 1st, RFE for lost medical-august 29th, they received my response to RFE on sept9th)

My husband was in the National Guard and he was just activated for deployment and he will be deploying in december. He will go to another state for drill for 45 days before that.

We submitted the affidavit of support with income evidence from his job before activation. Now he gets paid by the army and doesn`t work at his job untill he will return from deployment.

Do we need to submit a new affidavit of support?

We will try to expedite it since he will be away for 45 days and i need to get my DL before he deploys. How can we expedite it?

Thank you everybody for your help!

Get his orders or a letter from his CO should suffice if its not available yet. Call up the military hotline and have it expedited for deployment reasons, be ready to fax the orders if they ask you too. I did this and it worked! Hubby is also deploying soon!

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Hmmm nope because nothing changed except the salary rate, hubby used to work part-time as a security guard and so we sent pay stubs for that and the guard and when he got activated, the only thing that changed was he was now working full-time for the guard.. they still had his army pay stubs, and employment letter so we figured there was no need to change. they also never asked us to change it. i think you'll be ok!

I called yesterday and was approved today!

They didn`t ask me to fax anything, i guess because we were already more than 4 months in the process anyway!

Thank you so much!

Congratulations on your approval! That is great news and I know you will both be relieved and happy that you have your green card before he deploys. :)
