maybe there is little or no movement..

but lets just wait till the end of this week before

When i called up NVC today... heard from one of the rep that they did not get visa numbers yet, they will get it tommorow.. thats when interviews are scheduled.

I asked some of the months, we had earlier interview scheduled than the 1st of month... she said those months might have got the visa number allotment earlier. so hopefully, we should hear some good news from tommorow onwards....

If this bill is passed our spouses will be able to visit the US and wait till the visa number becomes current.

My wife tried for a tourist visa from India but she did not get it. Then she applied for a Canadian tourist visa and got it for 6 months. She tried for US tourist visa from Canada after staying 3 months there.. She was very honest about her answers and the officer granted her visa and she came to USA without any problems. Well, I can understand your situation but it was pure luck otherwise getting a US tourist visa with I-130 approved is very difficult. Even to get Canadian tourist visa is not that easy. I hope this will help you guys...

One thing I do not understand here is that one officer will grant you visa and others won't with the same situation. But there is no rule that if you have I-130 approved then you won't get US tourist visa. You just need a pure luck. I even got my student visa with I-130 approved few years ago..
