My husband just called me to let me know he passed his interview. He will receive his visa by courier Thursday or Friday. Yees, we are so happy it's finally over. Now the true life journey will begin. Thank you to all VJ friends for support and help with unknown when I needed. Prior to interview they asked him for affidavits of support, 2 passport photos, our photos together, phone records and any other communication records, he had emails, facebook messages. Then at interview they asked him how we met, why I didn't came to visit him for a year, what is he loves about me. He said officer was very nice, polite and friendly. Interview was less than 5 min. Then they gave him back all the original documents. He paid $50.00 courier fee, was told visa will be delivered in 3 days! Yeeees, we are sooo happy! Good luck to all of you guys!

YEAH!!!! Ameriturks!!! Congrats!!!! We are next!!

Do you know why they asked him for an Affidavit of Support when we already send one into NVC? The other stuff I understand. And I have copies of what I sent to NVC but not originals.

Hello:) thank you so much for congrats:) yes, before interview started they asked him for basically everything I sent before. But I guess they wanted to see it again, no reason was given. He actually told them " my wife already sent everything, but I have all the copies." So, officer said that they can look at the copies. For affidafit of support the best to privide tax transcripts. After they collected all documents from him, he then waited a little over an hour in a waiting room while they reviewed those documents, our pictures, emails, phone records, ect. Then interview itself was less than 5 min. When he came back home to Antalya later today, he got a call from courier that his visa will be delivered tomorrow. We are hoping to see each other early next week. After a year being apart it's feels amazing to finally get reunited. Good luck to all of you!

I understand. I haven't seen my sweetie since December 31, 2010. I am hoping they do not hold that against us as I have no vacation this year since I was off so much last year to marry him and spend time with him in Turkey. Again, I am so happy for you two.

Trust me, everything will be ok for you and your husband. About not able to visit him for a year, he explained that I started a new job, and on top of it I have to take care of my father. I send him a letter from a doctors that I'm primary caretaker of my father. But they didn't needed to see that. As long as they feel the answers are honest and you are ready to provide necessary prove they will grant an approval with no issues. Good luck!

Thank you. Honey the average wait is 3-5 days from the interview. A few other people have confirmed this. The tickets are no problem. I'll get with you tomorrow to get them. It is so cold here you won't like it. Ha ha. I love you.
