has anyone tried bringing 2 or more electronic thingies (laptop, xbox, ps3, wii, etc) to the philippines? i read they have to be in your carry on bag so will 2 laptops cause any issue? like delay because they think my fiance is a terrorist or something  ? and is there an extra fee? thanks!

The airline will let you take almost anything legal... The Philippines custom guys could give you a hassle... Most likely they won't.

I bring two laptops (Go through "Nothing to Declare" line). One for personal use and another for work. Been there 5 times last year

without issues.

However, hate to say it. But, expediting things at the Manila airport can usually be resolved with a $20 Xmas gift.

Or,, you can try to pay the customs excise tax for exceeding allowance. (Never seen anyone do that though)

It is what it is....

Regards,

I dunno the difference if you're flying from US to Manila. But Manila to US according to my fiance's experience...

Continental wont allow box at all. Period. Just hand carry bag and a suitcase.

Delta let him have the boxes, didn't open it either just went through the xray. He got 3 balikbayan boxes, 1 hand carry and a suitcase. He just paid $200 for the 3rd box (should be below 50lbs and within the size)

Happy New Year!
