But, if you look on the uscis.gov site,... had we all applied a year ago, it was going much faster, and if you keep punching the numbers in on that site and looking at their trends.... this past summer saw a DRAMATIC INCREASE in the number of app's being received.

I could be looking at it all wrong, but I think that might be the case.

Anyway, ... time flies! and, pigs don't ;-0)

Hey there.. You are looking at it wrong.. A year ago the average wait for NOA2 was 150 days and Vermont was close to 180... USCIS put the petal to the metal about march/April and the times really shortened to where three months is not unusual now.. This unfortunately has backed up the next step of the process (NVC). I was jumping for joy when I had my NOA2 in only 108 days! Little did I know that with all the other approvals I would spend more time after NOA2 than before NOA2,

The current USCIS slowdown is probably because of the logjam at NVC - no point in spending resources when the approved application is just going to sit in the mailroom for a month... Anyway a lot of that is sorting out now but in the end a faster approval did not get us to Bogota any sooner - 6-7 months for K-1 and 7-8 months for IR/CR-1

I don't believe it.. Prove it to me and I still won't believe it. -Ford Prefect

Agreed with Soulmates! My NOA 2 from VSC came just under the 5 month mark, and guess what? still a few months after that to go since you have to do medical and interview! Don't worry, they'll get to you! I know it sucks, but yeah, if you can't handle 5 months, you won't enjoy the rest. Its not over, but for me at least, it was all worth it! My man and I were apart for two years, so 5 months is not so bad, and we're married now and so happy. :) keep your heads up!

We are starting our 5th month waiting. While it's still within the expected time frame, we're going up the wall with impatience. In any case, no RFE so far or anything of the sort.

I wish there was a reliable source to find out what the speeding up/slowing down of some service centers are about. The USCIS must be overloaded with case number checkers... and I know I'm not helping on that front :P
