Like Caly said above, some people recently have gotten case completes, but not SIF, so that might be the case for you as well.

And the operators automatically say that October (or whatever the current month is) is full and no interviews are left. They're just reading from a script. They probably don't even know what consulate/embassy you're going through. To be sure if a certain month is full, they'd actually have to take the time to verify this in their system, instead of reading from a basic script. You'll also hear that they only schedule during the second week for the next month. Again, this is just a script and a LIE. They schedule all month long.

Definitely call back and ask specifically if your case is completed. Good luck!

:dance::rofl: Yes, Case is completed at NVC as of yesterday. Operator said they are starting to schedule for November interviews this week so for me to call back Friday to see if they have a date. I am still confused about that since they have already scheduled married couples for November interviews in Ankara. Case complete in 18 days from getting case number.

Well, the AVR has updated. It says NVC has reviewed and found information missing..YEAH!!!

So, I called NVC and J.R. said we are missing the DS-230. It has not arrived yet. But the 864 has been entered and no RFE's.

I sent the DS-230 2 days after the 864 so hopefully it will be reviewed and maybe a CC this week. I know it is a long shot but I can hope!

I am so happy things are moving.

Good luck to all.

I had the exact same thing happen to me this morning. No RFEs for the I-864, they haven't "received" the DS-230 yet and even though money was taken from my bank, the payment portal still hasn't updated to PAID. CC this week, we can do it!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so so happy

Yay, grats on CC!!

And don't listen about waiting for Friday. You should continue calling every single day, now asking if an interview date has been scheduled (instead of asking if your case is completed). And along with calling NVC, you could also be calling DOS every day as well, since they'll know when your interview date is scheduled.

ok I cannot wait any longer. I have not spoken to an operator in 5.5 hours. So, I wanna know if the IV DS-230 package is ok and complete or if it as least on someones desk!!!

I am so impatient.

omg another long wait. It may be over 5 minutes. Lunch time is never a good time to call. But I have to do it. I must. I cannot focus on anything else. I am addicted to NVC. I quickly recovered from my USCIS addiction but I replaced it with NVC... I am a true addict. I will get therapy while I wait up to 6 months for Cairo to schedule us our interview.

I hope Cairo is soon done with the backlog of cases since their closing for 2 months at the begining of the year. I keep praying for a January interview date. That is not unreasonable... 6 months is unreasonable. Airfare is expensive in December!!! But I will pay the 1500 or so if they decide on December and I will do it happily.

I am just talking to you while waiting for this nvc operator to answer my neurotic call. That way I can give you the update in the same post instead of a 2nd post 15 minutes later. LOL I really need to go back to work. I work in my car and I go to different patients homes throughout my day. My last patient lives 30 mins away. I come home to chart on the last patient. And here I sit waiting nvc. I wonder if they realize how unproductive they cause me to be? I might tell them, after we have the visa. lol I did get to eat a nice lunch for once. Instead of fast food. I got a salad and some bread and garlic hummus. yum. I need to learn how to make it before my husband comes here. There are no Middle Eastern foods where I live. He will be very disappointed. We will have to drive to Chicago every couple weeks to get him some comfort foods of home. I did learn how to make Koushary. It is my favorite dish but it is so messy and time consuming to make. I hate kitchen clean up.

omg 11 minutes on hold... :crying: :crying: Just answer the call

ok finally answered....not pleasant...wait 20 business days...bllahblahblah. lol She said they have not gotten to it yet. I asked is it on someones desk yet? She said well yeah its probably in the building they just haven't done it yet.

Guess I will wait another.....8 hours till I call again.

Thanks for listening

Bye

Well the funds have been taken from my bank account (so it's good this time - I made sure not to make another mistake paying the fees) but it says pending in my account so the NVC probably didn't get it yet. Hopefully tomorrow.

My RFE just says that they are only waiting for the payment. They sent me an e-mail so that means my DS-230 is good
