Well, the AVR has updated. It says NVC has reviewed and found information missing..YEAH!!!

So, I called NVC and J.R. said we are missing the DS-230. It has not arrived yet. But the 864 has been entered and no RFE's.

I sent the DS-230 2 days after the 864 so hopefully it will be reviewed and maybe a CC this week. I know it is a long shot but I can hope!

I am so happy things are moving.

Good luck to all.

Dumb and Dumber did you call? Did your AVR change? Did you get the CC????

Hi Saylin,

Bryan overnighted our DS230/I-864 packet last Friday. Do you have any idea roughly how long it takes the NVC to review our case and assign an interview date? :help:

Thanks

Nadiya

Mine is just the opposite. They reviewed the DS-230 and then I got e-mail saying they did not have the I-864 and then I called and the operator not worry it was probably on someone's desk and now still nothing. I am going to call them today again. I sent the I-864 in before the Ds-230 and I got a delivery confirmation.

Lately, it's been taking a week or so to review packages. So maybe by this Friday you'll have a case complete! Have you been calling NVC every single day to see if there's been any updates with either package?

Dumb and Dumber....Have you logged onto the payment portal? Do you get a SIF? I am sure your case has to be done. Try to sign in and see if you get a SIF (Sign in Failed)

Thank you, I always wondered what SIF was. I will do that. I just spoke to the NVC operator. The very first one that was rude to me, but she said both DS-230 and I-864 have been reviewed and that unfortunately NVC was unable to schedule an October appointment for the Ankara Embassy. So I ask her when would I hear about an interview date and she said she did not know. SO I think that means the Case is closed at NVC???

The fact that the operator was talking about interviews is positive. Call NVC back up and ask specifically: is my case completed? Also, call up the AVR, see what it says. And also, like it was suggested, try signing into the payment portal and see if you can. A SIF is a good indication of case complete.

SIFs don't seem to be happening lately though so don't be too discouraged if you don't see it.

I did sign in to the payment system and I did not get the SIF. I will call back and ask specifically if my case is closed. I do not understand the comment about the NVC not being able to schedule interview in October because they have not been able to schedule for October for awhile. The recent Ankara interviews have been scheduled through the end of November. I will see what the next operator says.

Thanks

Like Caly said above, some people recently have gotten case completes, but not SIF, so that might be the case for you as well.

And the operators automatically say that October (or whatever the current month is) is full and no interviews are left. They're just reading from a script. They probably don't even know what consulate/embassy you're going through. To be sure if a certain month is full, they'd actually have to take the time to verify this in their system, instead of reading from a basic script. You'll also hear that they only schedule during the second week for the next month. Again, this is just a script and a LIE. They schedule all month long.

Definitely call back and ask specifically if your case is completed. Good luck!
