Just be positive and know you'll get your CC next week and you will :)

As for November dates all being taken, please don't listen to the operators! They're just reading from a script. Unless they take the time to check on their computers, do not listen to them. The best bet on knowing where your embassy/consulate is for interview dates is to check other VJ members' timelines with the same country as you who recently got interview dates. That's what I did when I was waiting for my CC :)

First off, grats on the case number :)

The AOS bill usually takes a few days to be invoiced. Despite this, you should still be logging into the payment portal and checking. Lately, it seems you're only able to pay once you get the email from NVC. And make sure you're using IE to log in as this is the best browser for government sites and reduces the issues you might have.

For the IV bill, it's only invoiced after the DS-3032/DS-261 is submitted. So you should be logging into the IV portion of the payment portal and once you can (should be a few days until you're able to), then you can fill out and submit the online DS-261. Or if you want, you can email the DS-3032 template. Although you're required to do online forms, I believe NVC still accepts the DS-3032. Up to you which way you go.

And no, you don't have to wait for NVC to send you an email to fill anything out. You might be waiting awhile. Just be checking into those sites often and once something is available, do it. You don't need to wait for NVC to tell you to do something. That's just wasting precious time and most people here want to save as much time as possible.

Generally the steps for EP/online forms goes as such:

-get case number, IIN, BIN*

-send optin email

-depending which becomes available first: paying the AOS bill or completing the online DS-261

-once AOS appears as PAID, email the AOS package

-once IV bill is invoiced (dependent on acceptance of DS-3032/DS-261), pay it

-once IV appears as PAID, fill out and submit the DS-260, plus email supporting documents for IV package (doesn't matter which you do first)

-respond to any RFEs (if any)

-wait for case complete

*You need to get the BIN (beneficiary id number) as it's required on the online forms. You can't submit the forms without inputting the number. You can get this just like the IIN, by calling an operator.

Since you're in Mexico and doing the EP and online forms, I'd suggest reading the wiki I wrote, linked in my signature. Yes, it's designed for Montreal beneficiaries, but most of it applies to Mexicans as well.

If you have any questions after reading, I'm glad to help :)

hello NVC october filers,

I would like to ask some questions. We received our NVC case number and invoice number last October 18, 2011. Also, on the same day (October 18) I emailed to NVC my choice of agent. On October 19, AOS Fee is generated. On the same day also, my husband pay it immediately. Today, October 21- the status changes to paid. But my IV Application status says "NOT INVOICED". Is this normal? When could my husband pay the IV Application Fee? By the way last October 20, i received an email from NVC saying this:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

Is this mean that they approved my choice of agent? But why still in NVC payment portal the IV Application Fee, the status until now says its NOT INVOICE?

I hope someone can give some light on what to do with this IV Application. Thanks.

Did you get the email from NVC with the DS3032 attached? If you just recently got it, try resending the form; they may not have been ready for you to send it yet.

Send it from the beneficiary's address. :)

Hello Canadalove thank you for your reply.

No, I did not received any email from NVC regarding the DS-3032. I did not wait for them to send me the DS-3032. I sent my choice of agent immediately as soon as I get our NVC case number. Do you think I resend again my choice of agent OR I will wait for NVC to send me the DS-3032?

Our AOS status is already "PAID" but our IV Application is "NOT INVOICED".

Send it from the beneficiary's address. :)

Mmkay, I just wanna share my NVC experience today. For starters, we didn't receive any email (checklist cover letter) today. Thank GOD! :innocent: But, when we called NVC around 6:30pm (ET) and inquired about our RFE response, case status and stuff, the operator told us that the I-864 (received by NVC october 13) was reviewed last week and was found line 25 NOT CORRESPONDING to the line 37 of the IRS. We were shocked and devastated. :crying: Back story : We called NVC last monday and wednesday (coz during that time, we were still receiving RFE emails from them). Both operators told us to disregard the email and prolly our RFE response is still not yet being reviewed as of the moment. Then now, all of a sudden, they're gonna tell us that the RFE response was reviewed LAST WEEK and it was found INCORRECT once again. Hubby and I are 100% sure that what we have submitted were NEW & CORRECTED (we've checked it a hundred time before sending it, and the line 25 of I-864 form is the same amount declared in line 37 of the IRS submitted earlier). Then when asked the operator what to do next, he told us to provide a NEW I-864 and submit it to them. We were like, is this guy for reals? We asked him who's reviewing our case, if it is a case officer or a supervisor. He answered a supervisor. We are not convinced by his answers so we tried calling NVC again an hour later.

7:30pm, we called NVC once again, this time, the operator told us that our RFE response is not yet being reviewed! And then the usual line wait for 20 business days blah blah blah! Which is which? Every time we call NVC, different operators tell us different information. Sorry if I'm blasting here in VJ. It's just the process is very draining and heart breaking. :crying:

The IV application will only be invoiced once the DS-3032 has been accepted. The email above is not the DS-3032 acceptance email. It's clear when it's been accepted. You can try sending another DS-3032 to NVC, it shouldn't hurt. Or you can wait for a reply from NVC of the DS-3032 email that was sent the other day.

you are AWESOME!!! i am reading your wiki and its great!! i cant wait to see the invoices pop up.. my bank account will not be so happy but i will be lol.. im going to call and get the BIN number today.. and from which email do i send the opt in email from?? petitioner or bneficiary? thanks again

You send the email from the beneficiary's, but I don't think it really matters. I emailed everything from my email (beneficiary). I sent the optin, AOS package, and IV package. I think as long as it's from one of the email addresses they have on the case, then NVC will accept and read it.

Mmkay, I just wanna share my NVC experience today. For starters, we didn't receive any email (checklist cover letter) today. This is why I always suggest calling NVC at least 3 times if you have an important question like that. Because I assure you, they'll all have different answers. I'd suggest calling Monday a couple of times and ask the EXACT same question. Write the question down and repeat it on the call, so you know you're not deviating from the question. I'd say call every hour or so until you see one answer being given the most often. I'm hoping the first operator was just wrong and they just haven't reviewed your RFE response yet.

Waiting for case complete, they received the packages on the 18th. We will probably get an RFE though. Do they send it to your email as well? and what do you need to send back to them with the info(the cover sheet in the RFE letter?)

I know how you feel, it feels so hopeless cause you have no control over what's going on. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on that it will end, we will get a CC eventually. I just can't take it if it's gonna be several more weeks :crying:
