Hi I am a September NOA2 as well and received my case number yesterday

So next step is to wait for Invoice number?

First off, grats on getting your case number!

Call back and ask for the IIN (invoice id number). You don't need to wait for the email to get this number. If an operator gives you a hard time, then just hang up and try again. Some people have no problems, others do.

When you get your IIN, log into the payment portal and see if the AOS bill has been invoiced. If it has, then pay it!

Also, Can I send send email for DS-3032 or do I wait for the DS-3032 to be generated by NVC?

Yes, now that you have your case number, you can send the DS-3032. Be warned though, it might not get accepted cause it might be too early. But it won't hurt and if it does get accepted, then at least you didn't waste the time.

Saylin, since I'm doing electronic processing, I can just wait for my case to be logged on the state of department site and just fill out the DS-261 or should I just have my husband send the DS 3032 email template?

I'd say just wait a day or two until you can log in and file the DS-261. But it's up to you. You should still be able to send the DS-3032 even though you're required to fill online forms. I've seen a few EP people still do it.

Thanks Saylin :) I got the Invoice Number but the invoice is not generated yet. Waiting for it to be generated.

Grats on getting the IIN. Just keep checking as often as you want. Lately, the AOS bill has only been invoiced once the email has been received, so you might have to wait for that.

Maybe they're super busy right now, since it's taking so long for us to have our cases reviewed... or maybe it's just us being very very impatient ;)NVC, come on and give us a Case Closed!

I'll go with maybe they're super busy right now, there's nothin wrong on being impatient. Haha! We have to be optimistic tho. Please keep me posted on your developments. I'm gettin tired of calling NVC. Everytime they tell me to wait and call some other time, I get heartbroken. :crying:

So how long does it take to receive an email after receiving your case number?

Usually a few days. I got ours two business days after getting the case number. But that was before this crazy backlog and time frames have changed slightly.

I will! Same here, so tired of hearing "wait 10 to 15 days..." I was really hoping for a CC by the weekend, but it looks like it'll be another week. Bummed out right now... :(

Guys keep asking for a supervisor review, even if they don't pass your call along to one, keep on asking...it helps!

My husbang got to talk to a supervisor yesterday. She said to call back by the end of next week :( But of course he'll call every day and I'll make him ask for a supervisor every time:) We still have the unresolved payment issue too... it show paid but they haven't taken our money yet. An operator was gonna look at it two weeks ago but nothing has happened. So this supervisor, her name was Betsy, was gonna follow up on it and said to call back Monday and ask for her. I can't believe they haven't fixed that already, when they said they were going to over two weeks ago and we have called and asked about it a billion times!

Well, well.... I'm gonna try to forget about this for now and enjoy my weekend, hehe!

I still don't know who's reviewing our case, if it is a case officer (if that's how you call them) or a supervisor. I'll try to ask the operator tomorrow when I call NVC. I didn't call today (rest for the heartbreak feeling). :crying: I don't know what I'm gonna think, do or say if another checklist cover letter pops out of my email. I'll prolly lose it! Rawr!

I was hoping case complete this week too. I'm tyring to unwind and get my mind off things but really can't. Another week? No, not another one. This is the longest 6weeks of my life. Unbearable! :crying:

This is what I get when I try to log in the Immigrant visa login in

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error

as for the payment portal, I'm able to log in but for some reason it won't let me check the box next to the affidavit payment so thus I can't make payment, Is there something I'm missing? my husband just sent in the email template for DS 3032 and as far as I understand once we are able to log in the immigrant visa portal then we should be able to fill out the DS 261 right?

Yeah, like I said, it took one business day after getting the case number to be able to log into the IV part to be able to fill out the DS-261 (and later the DS-260). Just give it a few more days, you'll be able to log in eventually.

As for the payment portal, what browser are you using? If you're using anything but IE, then you're most likely going to have problems as government sites are designed for IE, and IE only.

And second, does it say the AOS bill has been 'invoiced' or 'not paid'? Or does it say 'not invoiced'? If it's the latter, well you have to wait some more until NVC invoices the bill.

And if your husband sent in the DS-3032, then definitely do NOT send in the DS-261. The DS-261 IS the DS-3032, but online. Don't send NVC the same form twice, just in different formats. You now have to wait for a response from NVC about the DS-3032.

You're right, it says not invoiced, gotta be patient, he just sent the email template for choosing your agent, he hasn't emailed the actual DS 3032 since I was thinking we should just wait for us to log in and complete the online version one

Choosing the agent IS the DS-3032 form. That email template is based off the DS-3032. I would not recommend submitting the DS-261 as you've sent NVC the DS-3032 already.

Grats! You'll probably get your CC at the end of next week ;)
