So I can have him send that email template with all the required info instead of having to wait for NVC to send him the DS-3032 form..

Does your case number begin with MEP? If so, then yes, your case will be processed through the NVC via electronic processing (EP). Even though EP is required with a MEP case number, you still have to send the "OPTIN" email.

So I can have him send that email template with all the required info instead of having to wait for NVC to send him the DS-3032 form..

Yes, he can send that email template with the required information. DO NOT wait for the NVC to send you anything, if you do, you would wait for a long time.

Actually, since you're going through Mexico where online forms are required, you can skip the DS-3032 and send the online version which is the DS-261. It can be found by logging in here: https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx?signout=true

I just tried to but it didn't let me log in, it says my case isn't available for further processing, maybe it's because it was just assigned a case number today

Yeah, give it a day or two. It took me a day after my case number was assigned to be able to log in. Just keep trying to log in ;)

Hehe, the NVC really likes confusing us I think! So many false RFEs :) What's annoying is that the operators always give conflicting messages. For example, yesterday when my husband talked to them they said our papers were sent to review on the 12th while we requested the review on the 5th. But when my husband talked to a supervisor last week, she said call back next week (this week) cause then it's been 10 days since it was submitted for review. So I don't know what to believe :bonk:

I guess it'll happen when it happens... I'm trying not to waste energy being frustrated with the NVC, but it's hard not to!

I agree! It's hard not to be frustrated tho! Received checklist cover letter #7 today! Is this for reals? NVC's sending me one every other day.

I called an operator last night and she said that my case was sent to the supervisor department yesterday. Whatever that means. I asked her how many more days that meant and she said 10 even though 10 days was starting feom the 13th. I am guessing we should start calling back supervisors now that the file is in their department now. I'll do that tonight because the operators are way nicer and I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi! I just wanna ask you. Did you request for supervisor review like JP&PB did? You didn't pass the birth certificate requested at the checklist cover letter sent to you?

I didn't request it. I found out they were making a checklist when I was calling about the payment portal that took my money but never updated the website. So I freaked out and I was like what do you mean there is no birth certificate??? I pointed to him which one it is, so instead of saying OK you're right there is a CC he sent it over to be reviewed by a supervisor, because I imagine he is in no power to say anything....Instead, they were checking to see if it was a "certified copy".....but it looks like it was just their pretense of having my file reviewed.

Keep calling and asking for a supervisor. I called 2-3 times a day.
