I remember, during the K3 process, writing somewhere an address that I wanted my SSN mailed to. Now it seems that some people actually get an SSN like this.

Its been two months and I havent seen one. I'm going through AOS so hopefully my EAD will show up sooner rather than later.

Anybody get an SSN by filling in that line? Is it valid for working?

I waited for a month and it didnt show up. Downloaded the form, went to the local SSn office and reapplied, 1 week later it arrived. I was cr-1 so not sure on K3 stuff. best of luck

If you entered with a K-3 visa you need to have an EAD card before you can be assigned a work authorized SSN.

Enumeration At Entry is only for people age 18 or older that have been issued an immigrant visa and ALL K visa classifications are nonimmigrant visas.
