Hi! I'm confused as to how the process works... after the I-129F gets approved, who gets the paperwork? Would it go to the applicant or the beneficiary? Also, would I, the applicant have to be present for the interview?

The US citizen petitioner is not part of the visa interview. There are a few embassies/consulates where the petitioner is required to attend. Manila is not one of them.

after you get NOA2, you will forward ALL the copies of the papers you submitted for the application including mailing receipt, NOA1&2, and Affidavit of support. Produce as many original as you can. She will bring those on the interview and she will also have to produce of the evidence of the ONGOING relationship from he time that you submitted the application. Same thing: calls, screen shots, e-mails and mails etc. You don't have to be physically with her.

Your case will be sent to NVC and shouldn't spend more than a few days there. NVC will then forward it to your beneficiaries embassy. After the embassy gets it, I don't know what happens, but check this link out http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Philippines&cty=Manila

You do not need to be at the interview and some embassies will not even allow you to attend. I am not sure about your beneficiaries country, but I was allowed to attend the first portion of my husband's interview and some say and I too believe that it can be helpful to attend.

Best of luck to you both!

Interview is for the beneficiary only.

However, just for the record

Petitioner - the one who sent in the forms ie. US citizen

Beneficiary - international fiance(e)

Applicant - fiance(e) also, the person who goes to the embassy interview.

Those terms can get a little confusing. Basically at the interview stage, the beneficiary becomes the applicant.
