HI guys, my fiance got RFE after his interview because his medical stuff was missing ( the clinic didnt send the embassy the medical papers) and a original translation of his birth certificate and is supposed to be translated in Afghanistan, we had one that was translated in USA. I searched everywhere in VJ but couldn't really find a good answer. So the question is after you submit the missing things, what happens? how long does it take to get approval or you visa?? I am completely confused and I don't know what to expect next. ANYONE??? :help:

Thank you guys :)

No one can tell you how long it takes, everyones is different. It depends on the person who has your file and how long it takes that person.

Generally they are approved or denied. Maybe get another RFE if they need something else because they found something else.

You just need to wait.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

It just means he needs to bring the missing documents ASAP and they will review them.. you may as well consider yourself in AP until they complete the review of the missing documents and issue the visa. It shouldn't take too long maybe a couple of weeks or so... hopefully sooner. Good luck..

It means his interview went well and he needs to bring the documents. Afghanistan is heavily prone to putting cases in to AP and they would not say anything about that until AFTER he presents all necessary documents

How it will be handled then is up to the consulate.

He is not in AP and she should not consider that he is. He did not provide all the documents needed and has been asked to provide them. AP, if any, will be determined AFTER he has otherwise met the qualifications for a visa. They do not spend time or money on AP if the person is not qualified for a visa. Presently he is not qualified.

Thank you so much for your wonderful information's. My fiance had all the required documents. Before the interview my fiance called the clinic to ask if everything is ready so that he can peek them up, the clinic told him that there is no need for him to come and peek up anything and that they will send everything to the embassy, but they didn't. Also about his birth certificate, it was translated already but not in Afghanistan, I translated here in California USA. they told him that they need one that is translated in Afghanistan. I don't know what is the difference. Also they kept his passport. My fiance said a lot of others got approvals and they were told to come back in a week to peek up their visa, so these people didn't go under AP and recently my friends husband got his visa in Kabul and didn't go under AP. lets hope that they don't put my fiance under AP, I don't know why would they if my fiance has a clear history, all he did is study all these years and now he is engineer and he is 24.

MEDICAL TESTS:

I had my interview in kabul US embassy as well and the let me tell you about the clinic which is german dk - their staff don't know whether you are going to take the medical results or they are going to send it over but your husband should have kept on asking them whether how they are guna send it over... for me i got my results from the clinic and i took it with my self on the day of my interview. its kind of silly of the clinic people that they don't know the procedures.

Birth Certificate Translation:

Well not sure of this one since i had made my birth certificate here in kabul and it was already translated and in both languages so this should be a different issue but i hope they didn't require a certified translation which means that then he has to certify it with forign ministry of Afghanistan as well.

OK did your fiance got a yellow card or what kinda since i got yellow one they asked me for my marriage certificate certification which i was trying to get it done for four months and am done finally just going to submitt it this week and god knows how long would this take from now on...

I am not sure if it was yellow or not, but it was the one that says that they have his passport ,my fiance got his medical stuff yesterday and also he translated his tazkera in foreign ministry , so he gave all the missing documents yesterday and they told him that whenever the visa is ready they will call him, I guess they approved him. Hopefully he will get his visa soon. and good luck to you  Allah negahdar and kule chiza ba khudawand bespar, Inshallah hama chiz khub mesha
