^^^ Brilliant!

PS...You're right about the size of the photos for reporting the marriage...the stores here in the U.S. are geared up to give you the photo size only for a U.S. passport...the wrong size.

Philippine officials tend to be ####### retentive when it comes to such requirements. However, luckily for us, the USCIS or the DOS doesn't seem to worry that much. We bought passport photos for both of us in the Philippines, quite a bit smaller than the ones listed in the requirement, and used those for the I-129F and later on for the DS-230, with no problem.

Did the Philippines Consulate have a problem with your photos when you reported your marriage?

That was about three years ago. Wife says we didn't need any pictures for the report of marriage. I can't remember either way. They did reject the passport fotos we brought with us for the passport renewal, and we had to go elsewhere in the building to have those taken.

Perhaps the requirements have changed since then.

A little help, 2x2 white background, go to CVS etc. This is one of the least expensive things you will do in the process. Do some of your own research so you do not get an RFE, delays cost money also. Research is reading VJ and USCIS actual instructions. The people who have the most problems with immigration are usually do not do this and it is caused by their own actions and statements.

^^^ When you are finished with your sermon about people who don't read and things, I suggest that you actually read the original post. The OP is not talking about the USCIS nor any other U.S. government department. Sheesh...

You can use this site: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ Then choose Philippines from the drop down menu. You upload a photo you took, then a cropping tool will appear with the country's specifications. You center the cropping tool properly, and the site will do the rest. It will produce a 4" x 6" picture with 5 of the photos, all cropped.

This is the site I used for NVC, medical, and interview. Never had a problem.

Just make sure you follow any photo requirements for where you're sending in the photos, like background color and stuff.

^^^ Hey...thanks for your post and for the link...I'll have to check it out.

www.epassportphoto.com is the way to go. It's free. You will get 4-6 photos on a single 4x6in print (10x15cm).

I've used it many times for passport size photos. Never had a problem with my photos.

That's why I used that site. Instead of spending $15 at a professional place to get 2, I was able to get as many as I needed (7) for free!

I did our photos for the report of marriage to the exact size with no issue. The consulate accepted it. I used a very clear white background and came out fine. I did take several photos to make sure I used the clearest one with no shadows or discoloration. The funny thing about it is when you paste it to the form the boxes that you paste it to are smaller than the 1.77 x 1.37

If you download forms from the internet, they are often shrunk to fit within the printable area of your printer and different paper sizes. That may account for the above, or it could be something else entirely.
