k-1 visa approved in Nicaragua

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that the k-1 for my fiancee was approved yesterday!!!!

The interview was really simple the only hard part was the long wait (4 hours). When we enter the us embassy they made us wait in a room full of people and you have to wait for your name to be called. They have four windows that attend this type of visa request (immigrant visas). When are names were called you go to the window and they ask you for your papers....we presented all of our papers 156, 156k, I-134 (with attached requirement....letter from employer, letter from bank, 2 years of my w-2), medical exam result, police certificate, birth certificate ( this birth certificate has to be directly from Managua and not from each your city hall). They also ask for evidence of our relationship and we presented pictures, record of e-mails, phone records..........Im forgetting that before we went to the embassy you have to go to bancentro and pay the equivalent of $100.00 at this bank...theyll give you a receipt that youll have to show to get into the embassy........once we presented all of our paper the lady didnt ask anymore question and she told us to sit down and wait for our names to be called again.

We waited for about 1 1/2 hours before our names were called again.....this time it was in a different window a gentlemen who only duty was to approve or dissaprove the visa...when he called our names he simply ask me if either of us had ever been married before and I replied no....he also ask if either of us had any children and when did we meet.... thats all the question he ask and then he said that are case was approve.

They told us that the visa would be sent to us by mail and will be ready to pick up this tuesday at the local post office...

Great job! That sounded easy enough. I hope that it is the same way for the rest of us. I know that my girlfriend has been asking me about the interview questions. I think that she is nervous. But probably there is nothing to worry about.
