You don't have your way. You'd really stoop to murder?

Why are you so focused on pointing out the unwanted burden illegals cause on the system when there are so many more USC's that are a bigger burden.

Enough said right there. USC is LEGAL. Try looking up the words legal citizen and illegal immigrant.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

What does that have to do with anything? Are you saying that because a legal citizen is legal then you don't care if he/she is a burden?

I could care less who it is. I don't want to pay ###### for anyone. I want to pay taxes for roads, schools, infrastructure, and protection on our border from a foreign threat. I.e. missles etc. I'd be more than willing for my tax dollars go toward the govt having super teams all over the US rooting out violent criminal threats.

Healthcare, elderly care, unemployment... why? Why are any of those my problem?

You make the same argument, "Why is an illegal your problem?" They shouldn't be, but neither should a legal USC. We're all human. We should all get the same benefits, legal or not. Personally, I'd prefer no one have any benefits. Regardless, you're going after the wrong person. Your complaint should be with your govt that you are paying taxes on people that don't want to even help themselves... and there's a heck of a lot more USC's in that boat than there are illegals.

Enough said right there. USC is LEGAL. Try looking up the words legal citizen and illegal immigrant.

Poor Alabama. How did they survive without Hispanics?

They could end the problem with illegal aliens tomorrow if they wanted to.

They don't want to.

They take the jobs from the lazy white people wont do and the white people complain about taking there jobs.

What about the lazy black people? There is a much higher percentage of blacks unemployed and on welfare. If you are going to pick and choose who you slam, how about slamming the worst offenders?

But, that is beside the point altogether.

If you cared to educate yourself you will find that in many industries heavily infiltrated with illegal aliens (except agriculture), the majority of workers in those industries are Americans. In many instances the main reason for hiring illegal aliens is to drive down wages and relax the standards for working conditions.

Americans will work for decent wages, benefits, and working conditions. What do you think America did before the illegal alien invasion? It's all about cheap labor and cheap votes to benefit the rich and powerful in this country. The vast majority of the American people are getting screwed in the deal.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

On another note, I find it just a bit misleading how the article starts out with "Hispanics" rather than "illegal immigrants". Everybody in this forum has an idea of how U.S. immigration laws and processes work, but the average American doesn't understand and believes all Hispanics are illegals. Some also think that every Hispanic is Mexican (I got really pissed when somebody called me a Mexican just not too long ago). Just read the comments on that Yahoo News article - they literally made me want to barf.

My wife is a Russian, but is often mistaken for Hispanic because she vaguely looks Hispanic. I laugh when people speak to her in Spanish and she gets this confused look on her face. My stepdaughter tells me this happens to her too. So even Hispanics don't know their own people sometimes.

You are right. They are hired by American employers to save $$$ NOT because they are the best roofers or landscapers

Oddly enough, the people that usually support good wages and good working conditions and champion laws to protect workers...turn their head when employers avoid the law and hire illegals. It is the most wacko arrangement in politics!

The solution? Penalize the living ####### out of any employer that hires an illegal...OR if you are too much of a wussie for that, then give them a HUGE tax incentive for every LEGAL worker they hire (call it "cash for clunkers" or something) The jobs for illegals will evaporate. The illegals will evaporate. They walked here for economic reasons, leave will walk out of here for economic reasons...and NO OTHER reason.

I would LOVE, just LOVE to see a state implement a HUGE state tax bonus for every legal worker and see what Obama says about that! Er.......... Let's see them challenge a state on THAT! Yet it is the states that pay the cost of illegals, think what they would save. What does EACH illegal cost a state each year? $5,000? $10,000? $50,000? Whatever it is, offer HALF that much tax credit for each legal worker hired and VOILA! One time fee! Illegals are gone tomorrow. No deportation needed.

ONe of the things I find interesting is, how did all these little children get across the border and deep into the US?

Whenever we see the clips of illegals streaming through the desert, it is always young adults, mostly males.

If the border area is as dangerous as we are told, perhaps these parents of these small children should be locked up for -Child endangerment- if nothing else.

Politics is a dirty business. It also plays with the emotions of those who can't see anything behind the cloud of smoke.

The U.S. is entirely ruled by big corporations who own everything, including the media and the politicians. They have the money for campaigns, the means to bring a candidate to the top, and the media to create a scandal to bring him down again if he disobeys.

Corporations are in the business of making money. They work for the stockholders. The main interest they have in the workers is that they are cheap. For that reason outsourcing of jobs has left America without much to produce anymore. But Americans are among the stupidest people on the planet. They buy into the smoke and mirrors of gays and abortion, and immigration that doesn't effect them personally, but was only created by the corporate politicians and corporate media to destruct the dummyfied electorate from the real problems that destroy this country slowly but steadily, such as the profitable war machine that helps the corporations but bankcrupts us, We The People, or the steady outsourcing of jobs.

If the Americans weren't as stupid as they are, they could stop the latter easily, by buying only products Made in the USA. If the majority of Americans would do that, this country would become so rich again that we had to beg Mexicans to come and help us manufacturing things for the 310,000,000 people in the U.S. alone.

Well, I started shopping for products made in America. I also promote local businesses, go to the Farmers Market and the hardware store next door instead of the corporate owned chain store. If you guys do the same, all of our problems will be solved.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
