Hi,

I entered the U.S. on Monday on a K-1 visa and want to get started on the AOS paperwork if I can, as-well-as advanced parole for our honeymoon...

Where do I start, the process all seems so confusing again lol. :P

Do I wait till after our marriage to apply for AOS?..or can I apply for both the AOS and the AP at the same time?...

Thank you :luv:

You apply for AOS and AP at the same time - but you can only apply for both of those after your wedding.

Here is the VJ guide http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

AOS for my husband

You definitely need to be married before you can do ANYTHING else, but I've only been here a day longer, so I haven't really gotten started myself either.

ETA: Except getting a SSN.. I think you can get that soon.

Unless you're planning on taking your honeymoon a few months are your wedding, you unfortunately, won't have AP in time.

You can get your SSN about 2 weeks after you enter the US; so do that. Do it several weeks before you I-94 expires.

Happy wedding!

No honeymoon for the place and date we had hoped :( . Oh well, nothing has gone according to plan in this whole process, so why would anything change now lol.

You can certainly get all the paperwork together and fill in as much as you can, so that after your marriage you have as little to do as possible: maybe just add in the marriage certificate and sign a few things, before mailing everything off :-)
