Today we had our interview in Irving Texas. I have been preparing for a couple weeks with an evidence book. Ill say that it wasnt the 12 pounds for the K1, but it was pretty thick.

Alot of people there had little duo tangs, and my husband kept looking at me like I was crazy with my 4 inch Five Star binder.

We got there around 7.15am for our 8am interview. We were called in just after 9am. We stood, raised our hands and swore to tell the truth. After minor chit chat to ensure the forms he had were correct, he asked a couple of questions. Most were to my husband. Not one question was personal, none were the "trick" kind of questions, not one was towards validating our relationship, except he did ask what day we got married on.

The IO never asked to see any evidence, not even what was requested on the invitation letter. We were never split up into different rooms. The end result was the Approved stamp on the application. I think all in all it was less than 20 minutes - the IO was having to update our petition due to new system, and he also left the room for about 5 minutes.

At the end of it, my husband said, see, you only needed a little duo tang. I told him he can do my Lifting of Conditions all on his own then.
