We are in the process of putting the AOS package together and would like to submit it within the next two weeks. I am retired military (USAF)

and my medical coverage is Tricare Prime. My fiance will be covered shortly under Tricare Prime. My question is, can we go to our military

doctor and have him/her go over my fiance's DS-3025, make recommendation for any additional vaccinations if necessary and certify the

I-693 for AOS purposes?

Any inputs, especially for those under the same circumstance as me and have gone through it is truly appreciated.

My best educated guess is no. We're doing the same and my husband is Active Duty Army (Tricare Prime). The USCIS asks that your form I-693 be signed by one of their appointed Civil Surgeons.

You can find one in your neighborhood here : https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV

Tricare will not pay for it, unfortunately. I called and asked. The mandated Civil Surgeons will not accept any insurance for this form. The one I found in AZ was just 160$ though, I thought that was reasonable.

No you cant use the military doctor.

It has to be a civil surgeon.

I went through that with my husband they had no idea what i was talking about. They can give the shots but cannot do anything at all with the forms that are for USCIS. The forms have to be done by a civil surgeon.

Thank you, Northernbird and Inky. This confirmed what I was already thinking and read on a couple of threads. On to calling CS's in my area

and possibly going to our local Public Health department!
