AOS from F1

Hello V'jers,

I am assisting one of my friends with the forms to file. He is adjusting from F1 married to a USC.

I looked at the guides and USCIS, and I believe these are the forms they need to file and mail them to the Chicago lockbox.

Please correct me if I am wrong, as it has been a long time since I filed mine

I-130 $420.00

I-864 $88.00

I-485 $1070.00

I-765 $fee waived

I-693 medical exam

G-325a $free

G-1145 $free

Plus I-131 for a travel document, if your friend wants to be able to travel internationally while his AOS is pending.

While looking at the forms on uscis website, it didn't mention any fees but stated there are fees associated if the form is reviewed domestically within US and this confused me tremendously and did not want to misinform my friends

There is no fee for the I-131 if it is filed concurrently with the I-130 and I-485. If your friend has overstayed on his visa, though, he won't be able to use it so there is no point to file for it.
