Hey everyone,

I am a Russian national with a M.A. in Translation Studies from my homeland.

I have been able to find a job as an Interpreter in the U.S. but it's part-time only so I have to work another job in a hotel. Working 50+ hrs/week is stressful and my hotel job is not something I want to go on with next year. My American friend told me that I should "totally teach Russian" and start up some tutoring service. However, I have never tutored Russian, only English to 5-graders back home, I do not really have a technique and I am not sure what American clientele would expect and how to advertise it.

Do I need to have a License if I decide to teach Russian basics or help students with their homework, etc.? Will I have to report this tutoring service to IRS?

Thanks, all advise is appreciated.
