My fiance had his interview last Sept. 8 and according to the consul he is approved. It's been two weeks now and we still don't have the visa and when I called the US embassy in Manila they said that it is under AP. Anybody had the same experience? What does this AP means? Will he still get his visa? this is soooo depressing :(

AP - means Administrative Processing and could be for several reasons.

Once they are done with AP, most likely they will issue a Visa, it's just might take time. There is really no time frame how long AP can take.

It means he has to undergo more checks. He is under Administrative Processing. You can find more information about it on this forum. He should still get the visa once this AP clears. It can take awhile or go by really rapidly.....you just never know with AP.

Allah[swt] says: “You may have someone in your mind, someone in your heart, someone in your dreams, someone in your life, but I am your someone when you have no one"He[swt] reminds us saying "O Prophet! Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you." [[Qur'an:8:4]] So when you slip and fall, remind yourself of Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim, the One whose always there, just waiting for your Call!

Just so unfair cause others got their visas right away. They were not even asking me for additional documents and consul seems to be pleased during the interview. I don't know what are they trying to do.

Thanks :) I was just hoping when I get back to US he will be coming with me.

what option did he choose for visa delivery? pick up at local 2go office, or home delivery?

Had the same experience. It should be sent soon.

To appease my impatience, I kept on emailing the embassy for my visa status and to let me know when it was sent out. They did reply when it got printed and mailed out (3-4 weeks after the interview). That was a relief!

We decided to just pick it up instead of the home delivery.

We couldn't have fun because of this visa. I rebooked my flight and hopefully before my next scheduled flight the visa is already here so he can go with me. I would jump for joy if gets here before my flight so we can go around the Philippines and have fun.
