I am trying to determine how much money my fiance actually needs at the time of his interview... This is taken from the London Embassy website

Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fees (non-refundable, per person)

Immediate relative and family preference applications (processed on the basis of an approved I-130, I-600 or I-800 petition)

$330

Employment-based applications (processed on the basis of an approved I-140 petition)

$720

Other immigrant visa applications (including Diversity Visa applicants, approved I-360 self-petitioners, special immigrant visa applicants, and all others)

$305

Certain Iraqi and Afghan special immigrant visa applications

NO FEE

Other Fees

Note: Forms and fee amounts are listed for immigration petitions which are submitted to Department of State, either accepted at an Embassy or Consulate abroad, or within the U.S. to the National Visa Center or Kentucky Consular Center. Other immigration related forms can only be approved by the Department of Homeland Security's United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). For other fees (relating to forms starting with an "I" select USCIS Forms and Fees for additional information.

Special Visa Services

the visa fee of $330 is paid in advance before the interview so the only money he needs to take to the interview is however much it costs to pay for deliver... not sure how much that is but would think about £10

hmm i paid about £42 for the delivery because I tried for an early morning delivery due to the night work I was doing, I think it is £15 otherwise, I also paid in advance i believe you have to in advance since you need the machine readable receipt.

My fiance was having blood pressure problems and they had to get it under control, Which it took some time for his medicine to kick in and work and then he had to have a 24 hour moniter on his bp.. THen after he passed that, he had to fax updated medical reports into the London Clinic, which they promptly mailed all his medical forms to the Embassy and they passed his physical. The Embassy recieved all his medical and they have told us the last 3 weeks that they are satisfied with the reports and no further info is needed, Assuring him they have all the forms etc.

i think high blood pressure is to be expected due to the long and stressful visa process lol. im glad it has all been sorted though and he is now ready for interview. i hope he gets a date soon :)
