sickening. While the guy committed numerous atrocities and is a great capture for US troops. It's just one more example of my disliking of the way the US govt uses the military. It gives the military a bad name. No man deserves to die regardless of how bad of a person he may be. I can only hope that one day we will have a justice system that will turn back the clock and convict every single person that has a hand in any of these murderous acts overseas. Everyone from the decision makers to the ones doing the killing. It's such a shame that people do not respect commandment #1... "thou shall not kill." Bush started it, Obama is continuing it, hopefully Ron Paul puts a stop to it and uses the military the way they should be used... to protect US citizens on our own soil without the need to take the life of anyone. It can be done.

The Americans have shot many of their own US Citizens for cowardice in war - so that proves that the Government shooting its own citizens is constitutional. This guy was far more deserving of a droning than the scared American kids who wouldn't go 'over the top' in war

Anyway, he had national health specs and a ragbag beard and a bent nose , so the physical attractiveness of the average Yemeni has just gone up and that has to be welcomed

Extra-judicial assassinations of U.S. citizens by their own government does not make me feel "relieved" at all - I find it very disturbing and it makes me feel very unsafe. Doesn't anybody care about the Constitution ? I guess it's just a piece of paper...

I don't think he should have been targeted.

I do think he should have been put in proceedings to have his citizenship revoked. If he didn't show up for them, then so be it. After which, then go after him.

Being in the military, they likely agreed to such actions as soon as they joined. (they were also under the blanket of a legally defined war)

My point is that there are many circumstances when it is quite allowable for the US gov to kill its own citizens.

In the case of this now cooling murderer and traitor, what could be more appropriate ?

The US govt would be failing in its duty to the rest of us if it didn't kill him when they had chance. He is a deadly enemy combatant first, and the place where he drew his first breath is a long second and of little consequence

Its just the fear that the US might start using assassinations more liberally on US citizens.
