Again, I'm American and so English is "my" native language. Why should Americans have "colonial bitterness" ? They sent the British packing some 200+ years ago (and inspiring many other people to do the same.) It seems you're the one who's bitter, pining for the lost days of British Imperialism when you used to be able to lord it over the brown people.

Nevertheless, I have plenty of Brits on the old family tree along with lots of other folks and that's no shame to me at all (including one whose accomplishments some one thousand years ago have apparently traumatized you with a lasting bitterness toward your Norman conquerors.)
