Hi VJs,

The two month deadline on our service request was up yesterday. My fiance called and he was given two emails to ask whats going on. One was for the Vermont Center and the other one was for the headquarters. This morning he got a reply that says as follows:

Dear USC,

"The Vermont Service Center is waiting for Ms XXXX A-file to arrive from our off-site storage facility. I have asked to be notified once it arrives and will expedite your petition at that time since it is Outside Normat Processing Time (ONPT). I will follow-up with you at that time.

For future status inquiries of a petition or application filed at this Center you may want to utilize our National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. If you would like to obtain forms, filing instructions, case status or schedule an appointment with your local office, please visit our website at www.uscis.gov.

Thank you,

Officer Teresa

Vermont Service Center

Customer Service Unit"

We've also contacted the Senators Office but all they say is that we"re in their system and once they figure something out, they will let us know. What exactly does this mean? Has anyone gotten an email like this before? I dont know how much longer to wait for a reply. Any insight will help a lot! Thank you everyone!

It means you have more waiting to do! They are still waiting to get your file apparently so they cannot do anything until they have it.
