I just got an alert that my case status was updated. I checked the USCIS website and it said the following:

On September 26, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Does this mean my GC is approved? And the conditional status is removed? If so, please let me know how long it took ppl to get their cards in the mail. My husband and I are planning to travel late Nov-Dec this year and I don't want any issues. Thanks!! :)

Congrads JimandChristy. Quick question - did you get a notice that they received your RFE documents?

I thought I will return to update my progress so far - I was October 2011 filer with RFE recieved in August, replied back with RFE docs 10-10-2012. Had a lot of fun times trying to get copies of old credit card statements, since we change our primary credit card from some minor company to Amex about 1.5 years ago... After about 3 requests for paper statements, 60 dollars in fees for statements and over a month of wait finally got them.

RFE that I received asked for more proof of joined finances, although we own a house together, checking/saving accounts, credit cards. My lawyer suggested that they may want actual statements, not just account summaries... Now they can enjoy looking thru 3 years of our checking account and couple credit cards statements... The only additional info it will give them will be the conclusion that my husband and I spend way too much at Starbux:)

I can only hope that this is the last time I have to enjoy personal attention from USCIS.

Hope you are all safe through Hurricane Sandy. I live in NY and we got hit pretty hard here. People are still without power and many businesses are still closed. NYC got hit much worse but thankfully all my family and friends are safe that live around here!

Hi Guys, have been reading this topic fort he past year, have never commented but was curious to see the timelines.

I have sent out my package end of November, had my fingerprints done on the 5th of January and waited and waited just like you all and on September 5th I received the dreaded RFE (more financial prove, since we have no accounts together). 2 days later found out that my father was hospitalized with lung cancer, flew home without having time to respond to the RFE, 1 week later my father passed away. So with all of the craziness finally on October 8th they received my response (explaining that my husband has bad credit history and we did not to make mine bad too, also included this year's tax returns, plus new lease agreement). Yesterday received a letter with first word Congratulations! What a relief after all that I have been through lately... Hang in there and it will come. Congratulations to everyone approved and to all other I hope you get good news soon!

I'm very sorry to hear about your father. Congratulations on the approval, it is quite a process!

Went to the ASC office today to do my biometrics (again). I get there and am "greeted" by two rude security officers telling me the office is closed.

Yey! Way to go! They asked me to come back later. I asked when, they replied "within 87 days".

For others out there, this is the Manhattan ASC office (201 Varick Street [Varick/Houston st]).
