I knew this would happen! Leave the country 7/26, receive an email 7/27 that hubby's gc production was ordered 7/27. Just got 1 email so far, and no cell svc for text messages. It will be interesting to see how many I get once we land in the US!

So glad we didn't have the hassle of an interview. We are going to print out the emails we receive just in case we are given trouble at Customs, but I honestly don't expect any. In the meantime, we are going to enjoy our vacation

Hello Corinthians, I heartily agree with your observation concerning the Netherlands. Though I am a native-born US citizen, I lived in the Low Countries for more than twenty years. If my career hadn't taken an unexpected direction, we'd still be there! (Don't get me wrong, I love the USA, however there are other wonderful places to live, as well.)

It seems that VCS is really moving along - I got couple emails and texts on Friday 07/27/2012 that my GC production was ordered. Definitely great news and it feels really relaxing to have this solved and not to worry about my status here in USA. It has been 9 years since I first entered USA and thru that time had different statuses, but from now on will not have to worry about them anymore. I became friends with my awesome immigration lawyer who for the last 4 years helped me with all the paperwork. :)

Wishing patience to those who are still waiting, the notice will come before you know it:)

Not feeling so lucky today, as I got RFE in the mail... Oh well, I guess my journey is not over yet and I get to be in the group without GC for a little bit more.... At least I know that they looked at the packet that I sent since RFE did list all the documents that I submitted. It seems that they wanted more details on bank statements although we have 4 joined checking accounts and several credit cards.

I guess the email/text with approval notice from the website was due to the status being updated incorrectly? Because the online status has approval date as of 07/27/2012, and that was the date of RFE too that I received in the mail. So whoever was making an update to online system may have chosen the wrong status notice?

I haven't had that, but I am expecting it. I had biometrics done twice because the FBI could not process them. You will need a police clearance, from what I have read while searching here, I would have to go to the local police department with the letter USCIC send, and have them run a clearance on me. It would be for the time since entry to the USA.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
