Our year is going well, new baby is great and I just started back at work a week ago :/ It's bittersweet - I would rather be with my baby but it is nice to be back into an established routine again; it helps me accomplish more. As far as job searching, I do recommend education - partially because you get to work with a new group of students every year (usually) so it makes it slighly less monotonous. This is my 6th year teaching and it's nice to have a beginning and end to each school year. It's fun to count down until summer with the students

Glad to hear things are going well! I just found out one of my friends used to work at a university nearby so she's going to e-mail her old supervisor to see if there's an open position. Here's hoping! :blush:

Congrats !! Wow, that was fast and even without tax returns! By any chance, is your case militaly involved?

Would you give us the "Receipt Date" on your NOA letter, "Bio date" and "Decision date"? So, we can add you to the list

No, not military. just regular removal of conditions. I know it was either last few days of Sept or first few days of October because I could've done it after Aug 26 but was a month behind because we didn't have the money.

We filed tax return REALLY late, around Dec 2010, after we received the card. Plus, we owe back taxes too... so I don't know but the IO must've been in a very good mood.

Anyhoo, I'll try to dig out my papers and check the exact dates and post it up here.

I have a friend, it took her exactly 6 months to get her GC. she went to interview and the questions asked were: What color of toothbrush your spouse have. Details of your house layout, What side do they sleep in bed, among other detailed day to day personal lives stuffs. Both Husband and Wife went to interview in separate rooms. Hope this helps. They didn't have a lot of co-mingling of assets but they passed with flying colors.
