Hmm I wonder if your original bio letter got lost in the mail like STARCOOKIE's did.. ?

Definitely call them because you are well past the 30 day mark. Just tell them the date you received your NOA and that you haven't received any biometrics appointment yet.

I called them today and they told me that they still dont see that they have sent the bio letter, nor set a date for it. They also mentioned that my ASC are busy with so many applications... I was like, really?I hardly see any other races in Louisiana, nor there are a lot of Filipinos like California.

So naturally, they gave me the direct email of VSC to follow up my case.. I am so tired of their BS.

Wow...you would think they would do more for you than give you an email to follow up on your own.

I'm going back to TN this week, for another attempt to do biometrics. So another long road trip, but of course it isn't like I have a spare set of fingers I can trade the ones I am using for. My prints are what they are. You would think it might dawn on someone that I couldn't have got as far as I have without being screened quite a lot along the way. Heck, why can't they compare the one that does take, which is the same one as is on the green card?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

The saga continues.... We were up early and out the door, back to Memphis TN for more fingerprints. The machine once again failed to capture a decent set, no matter what she tried 3 of them kept showing rejected. I will doubtless end up having to produce a police clearance for every place I've lived in the last few years. From what I've been able to search out here, we also get an interview as an added bonus prize.

To add insult to injury, the west bound lanes of the highway are closed for roadwork, and we were rerouted back through downtown Memphis, and West Memphis, pretty shady looking area really. There were 2 signs, Detour, and Detour Ended, the rest of the time we were wondering if we were even on the right road, and it added 45 minutes to the trip back.

And in case we hadn't already had enough fun for the day, we got pulled over for speeding. There is a little hole in the wall town that has a lowered speed limit for 500 yards. We were going 40 in a 35. The charming cop says as it is the holiday season they have a zero tolerance policy. $130 thank you very much.

I'll never see it..lol..if you fail twice that's it. If this lot are not able to be processed I will have to go the police clearance route. Pretty much guarantees us an interview as well.

Ugh, how terribly frustrating! Yeah I believe now they will request police clearances. Did they mention anything during your biometrics?

Different person this time, didn't see the first one anywhere. She knew it was my second visit, and she knew what machine was used the first time, so used the other.

She said I have faint prints, but I guess I had worked that out. She did them twice, on the first go round 9 out of ten came up accepted, with my right ring finger not co-operating. Second time around 3 came up rejected in red, including the same finger from the first go round.

She said they would not expect me to come for a third try, but had no idea what they would do. She seemed a bit surprised at the lengths they have to go to if this lot fail.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I was worried that we weren't going to be able to get Gabby's fingerprints. He's 4 and deaf with cochlear implants so he's seen a lot of medical personnel and latex gloves generally mean something painful is about to happen to him. He freaked out when he saw the tech put the gloves on. It took every ounce of strength I had to hold him still enough for those prints which only took like 8 attempts! He still managed to kick the ####### out of my knee in the process.

I can't wait to get his 10 year Greencard, he was so pissed when they took his pic I'll be surprised if he doesn't look like a serial murderer on the card.

Oh the poor little thing. He must have thought he was in for something terrible. :(

I have to say lol at the serial murderer...I mean I know I oughtn't but the way you put that struck a direct hit on the funny bone.

Then my aim is spot on as my intent was to share a laugh (which I think everyone going through ROC, including us USC Spouses, could use).

I bet we're going to get years of good chuckles from that photo once the card arrives...

You'd think they would do it the old fashioned way at this point. The government is so strange.
