Letter in the mail today from USCIS.

"The FBI was unable to process your fingerprint card. In order for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services to continue processing your application, it will be necessary to have your fingerprints retaken. "

Another seven hour road trip. January 5th.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Nothing so far in the post about the last set of fingerprints. They only took 7 days last time to send me a second letter, so I am not sure if I am out of the woods, or if they are still going to send

Hi all, Yeah I was that one person still waiting for a Biometrics date from CSC...we finally got it today, and guess what...it's set for when we'll be out of town! Oh no!!!!! I was worried this would happen.

I have to ask for your advice....has anyone tried the whole "re-scheduling" instructions on the Biometrics letter? Is it an easy process, or will it delay our whole processing greatly? Do you think it's worth it to do, or more advisable to bite the $500+ fee we'll get for changing our flights? I'd really prefer to save the $500, but don't want to throw our Lifting of Conditions process in jeopardy. Any advice?

Have you though of trying to go in early for the Biometrics?


Must have info for bringing your Philippine wife/fiancee's child to the US

I'm so tired of USCIS being in our lives I've told Anna either she files for naturalization next year or I file for divorce next year.

I love her but having gone through the I-130 process & stress twice now and sitting here in the ROC stage just makes me want to never have to deal with it again.

:lol: My guess is she'll file her N-400!

Ack! I'm so sorry :( That stinks. I read in another thread that if biometrics fail twice, they require clearances from states you've lived in over a certain period of time (not positive on the time period). I hope they work this time!

Checking in with some news... finally.

2 weeks passed, no Biometrics letter. I called the USCIS twice.

A month passed, no Biometrics letter. I called USCIS twice again. 4th time, they finally sent me a 'copy' of my Biometrics later. (Why couldn't they have just done that the first time...?)

The date had passed by almost A MONTH. It was at the start of November. So somewhere along the line, I just didn't get the letter in the mail, and my case number wasn't working online. No fault of my own.

I saw on the notice, 'if you fail to turn up, your case will be considered abandoned'. Fabulous.

So I called the USCIS in a panic, telling them I didn't recieve the letter, and they said to just reschedule 'within 87 days' and I'd be fine.

Anyway this morning I got a letter back confirming my Biometrics appointment for January 4th 2012. Looks like I'm the only one with a 2012 Biometrics thus far!

Hopefully things will be smooth there on after :P

NOA1 received : 14th August 2008

I don't mind either way, every 10 years with USCIS isn't so bad. And even if we forget to apply for renewal, there's no worries that he'll be deported so that's good.

03.15.17 - scheduled for an interview on 04.21.17, had to write a letter asking for a reschedule because we will be out of the country

03.31.17 - scheduled for an interview again

I didn't know this - What happens if you don't apply to renew?

Technically once Conditions are removed the LPR STATUS never expires, just the card which is your proof of said status.

This means that you're not applying for anything except a new card (I-90).

So what happens is if you're in a situation where you need to prove status you won't be able to and can be detained. Of course you'll eventually be able to prove status but why have to deal with that possibility and expense?


Must have info for bringing your Philippine wife/fiancee's child to the US
