Wow, looks like 4 September filers from CSC were already approved :o Of course, none from VSC  But that is very fast processing for CSC so that's one positive thing!

We are nowhere closer to approval. I have called in USCIS last Wednesday, since its over a month already.. They told me that my local USCIS office's appointment setting is backed up so of course we are at the end of the tail. All I can hope now is for these people to get there @~$! together and give us show us some progress.

F2A

Petitioner (My Mom)

Beneficiary (My Sister 18 y.o)

06-07-19- Sent I-130

06-11-19- NOA1

02-19-20- "Initial Review, Transferred to another Visa Center"

03-11-20- APPROVED!!!

Ughh that's so frustrating..on the positive side, at least now you have an answer for the wait and know your letter will come as soon as they have an opening! :star:

We are up at oh dark early and on the road to TN for an 11:00 biometrics appointment. It's supposed to be 2 1/2 to 3 hours depending on the roads and the weather. Heavy rain, 3 inches + is forecast, and local flooding. Not impressed to check the weather page for both areas and see this headline: "Flood Threat Developing"

*ack*

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Home in one piece. That was some kind of trip. Rain, absolutely torrential, sideways stuff. Visibility was terrible. All along the road the fields are flooded, and the wind was so stiff there were whitecaps on the water in the fields. Surreal.

I am glad we left early on account of the weather, we were only 25 minutes early, and got right in. No problems what ever, very chatty person, and another fan of the LOTR. She said her boyfriend would "just die", when she went home and told him I was from NZ.

Middle Earth  ...by way of Canada...

They had the usual hard time getting my prints. She said she hoped I wouldn't have to come back. Me too! I guess that's all we will hear from them until next year. Barring an RFE of course, which I do not want, or an interview which I can also do without.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Best Biometrics story so far.

Thank you, but if I'm being honest it gets better, I must confess..lol...I had all my papers in a brown leather folder, which I managed to leave behind, once she was done trying to fingerprint me. I was ten miles up the road before I noticed I didn't have it, and had to turn around to go back for it. Getting off an on the Interstate again was a bit of a mission.

They were kind enough to let me back in, and it was lying on the counter, where you sign in, right where I had left it. I'm very lucky nobody picked it up and made off with it. Some days I wonder where my brain is. I needed an extra 20 miles in the pouring rain added to my adventure.

I think that's the lot

No worries here...ROC felt more like doing our taxes than anything. Now that the packet is gone and Biometrics is finished it's easy mode.

NOA 2. Really?

I agree...it's in the back of our minds but nothing like waiting for K-1 or AOS!

On a positive note, the Processing time for VSC is back to 6 months. Now whether or not we actually see them catch up will be another thing, but at least we can hope that this will soon be over for TEN LONG YEARS (or longer if you file for citizenship in the next year or so)

No new updates to the timeline but I'm re-posting it since I don't want it to get lost in the pages :P

Yeah a 10 year break will be quite nice! Phil is not sure if he'll apply for citizenship yet or not. He doesn't want to renounce his Canadian citizenship and I can't blame him for that. I don't mind either way, every 10 years with USCIS isn't so bad. And even if we forget to apply for renewal, there's no worries that he'll be deported so that's good.

So it looks like there's 1 person waiting for a bio from the CSC (although they haven't logged in in quite a while so maybe they did get it and just didn't update with us), and 5 more from VSC.

Who is planning on filing for citizenship?

We probably will just to avoid the hassle of this process if we ever move overseas and to basically avoid future paperwork.

I'm so tired of USCIS being in our lives I've told Anna either she files for naturalization next year or I file for divorce next year.

I love her but having gone through the I-130 process & stress twice now and sitting here in the ROC stage just makes me want to never have to deal with it again.
